TBH I’ve no idea why he’s still a Hibs player. Doig has shown that if you’re good enough, particularly if you play in a problem position you’ll get a chance to make that position your own. Murray hasn’t been able to get into a failing midfield and he’s potentially taking up a squad space for someone else ready to come through.

The back line have been pretty solid again.

Newell and Gogic been solid but for other games we still 100% need another central midfielder.

He was very good with Whittaker alongside him against Dundee United last season. If he has the sort of player who can do the dirty work next to him then he's got a lot going for him - creativity, able to go forward and make late movement into the box, can finish, good set piece deliveries.

Not common but it does happen. I recall a 'Vote Conservative' advert at Somerset Park in 1999. Mind you the rest of the stadium was straight out of the 1950s so it looked to be in place.

He is a good player, but he doesn't show it as often as he could/ should.

On his day he's as good a player as we have, but he needs to add consistency as he has too many wafty games that just pass him by, a bit like Slivka. He's stamped his authority on this game, and he's a joy to watch when he does that.
