For those of a certain vintage, sad to hear of the passing of another icon of British cinema

The Avengers was required TV viewing in the 60s, not least for the delectable Emma Peel in her leather catsuit.
It was such a stylish show and featured cameos from some great British stock actors, mostly playing eccentric villains bent on world domination from the leafy English countryside. they alol got their comeuppance at the hands of Steed and Peel though.
RIP Dame Diana.

It's being repeated on ITV4 at the moment! Silly stuff, but pure 60s fun. God rest ye Diana.

Diana Rigg was the chancellor of Stirling University for ten years, so I actually met her (however briefly) on Graduation Day.
I was more than a bit overawed.

Sad news , I had a bit of a thing for the delicatible Mrs Peel . Also enjoyed her as the acid tongued Queen of Thorns in Game of Thrones

We've lost Rigg and Blackman this year. Suspicious.
I've alerted Thorson and Lumley just in case but of course they were fully aware and are both even now speeding through leafy English lanes in an Austin Healey towards a mysterious derelict country mansion.

I couldn't remember anyone called Thorson from The Avengers* so I googled her name and looked at 'images'.
I wouldn't recommend that to any straight males with a weak heart...
* TBF, I would have been a bit young

Whoever the script writers were for The Avengers must have have taken copious amounts of acid when writing them as some of the storylines were utterly bizarre!
