Wish Daryl nothing but good luck. Nice to see some cash coming in for a guy who was in his last year of his contract.

Decent bit of business given the circumstances but still leaves us light on option in the midfield. Hopefully we can get some new faces in soon.

Good luck to him, not the most consistent performer we have ever had but thankful to him for his two goals at Tynecastle.

Like Daryl and felt that playing in front of Doig benefitted him. Seemed to thrive on the responsibility of helping a youngster and I felt he would have went on to have his best season for us. Wish him luck at his new club supplying crosses to the big plank of wood they have up front

Jamie Murphy is literally his replacement.

Agree that we need strengthening elsewhere though.

Interesting Ross says he’s disappointed to lose him, was it

Ross wanted him to say but board overruled him because of fee received?
Horgan wanted to leave and we never wanted to stand in his way?
He’s not that bothered and is just being nice?

Bit of an odd when when you consider he’s always the first sub on this season it started every game. One thing he did have was pace, directness and energy which we need to replace.

Murphy has more quality but he won’t get the same pace out of him.

I wasn't too sure if he was fast or not, couldn't make my mind up.

I thought he beat players with skill as opposed to blistering pace.

He's quick, but he's fast over the first 3 steps compared to Boyle who is lightning over 10 yards.

Best of luck Daryl, always be remembered, for the brace at Tynie, a good pro who wasn't content with being a bit part player and wanted to move on, can't blame him for that.

I know its guess work but any idea what the undisclosed fee would have been?

All the best at Wycombe, Daryl.

The very best of luck to Daryl. He never gave less than 100% for us and was a joy to watch on those days when it all came together for him - none moreso than that day at Tynie - Thankyou Daryl :thumbsup::thumbsup:

He talks about the deal being good for Horgan and his family in the interview I heard. I think Daryl would have been a part of the team this year but not 1st on the sheet.

A deal comes along that gives Hibs a fee and possibly a pay rise and chance to play at a higher level for the player. Suits all parties really and Jack's comments echo that imo. I don't see the board going against the managers wishes for what is likely to be a minimal fee.

Given the amount of tweet from staff about him he was obviously well liked at the club

I liked Horgan but dont think he did enough when playing wide left. Not sure we'll improve on him though.Thought he looked a world beater when he first came in and NL played him centrally. He looked like Scott Alan with an engine. Would have liked to have seen him played there more - certainly would have added a bit of much needed drive in the middle of the park.

I think Daryl's directness and creativity will be a loss to the team. Murphy is a different type of player; less speed but more of a goal threat.

Good luck wee man. You always gave your all in a Hibs shirt.

I don’t, I have never understood why a club would want to disclose how much money they have spent on a player, it’s really none of anyone’s business.

Average wage of an English Championship player £29k a week. Lowest £8.5k a week. Think that is why he went. Security for life.

Ross commented that it was a good opportunity for Horgan and his family. He’ll be getting paid a hefty wage even at a smaller club like Wycombe. All the best to him, always remember that derby win.

Apart from fans of both clubs. Hibs seem to do this with every player they sell or buy.

The fees mean nothing without going into the finer details (wages, bonus arrangements, agents' fees, signing-on fees, etc.) which are definitely nobody's business.
