Hibs group in Holyrood Park

Just ran past a group of men and women, most wearing Hibs gear standing in Holyrood Park car park. Anyone know what group this might be?.

Some of the guys looked to be on their 40s/50s.

I’m just being nosey really.

The early groups completers were still meeting weekly to some degree when I was on the course last year. Generally running round the pitch or circuits in the South Stand. Pretty sure the January group didnt quite finish with April intake still waiting. I was looking to join up but the community team were also looking to see uf they could organise a session. In waiting for that missed the opportunity.

The Hibs fit guys and girls that did circuits in the South concourse, ran round the pitch etc every Tuesday night were canned along with everything else Hibs, due to the pandemic. No chance of the group getting back to Easter Road any time soon.
A few of the group have recently started meeting at Holyrood Park on a Tuesday night. Lots of space so no issues with safe distancing etc. I will get along soon to shoot the breeze and have a laugh with good Hibees that I haven't seen for a long time. Fingers crossed that they are all doing well.

I use to watch meadowbank thistle training in the park, I would collect the loose balls for them, I cannot remember seeing hibs tho

Also remember seeing a feature on Scottish news or something about Hibs at Holyrood, being put through their paces.

Yeah I’ve not doubt hibs did train in park, just wish I’d know as I would have liked to have watched them, as a youngster back then even watching meadowbank seemed like I was superstars, I recall watching Darren Jackson which is odd cause I would have been a lot older then and can’t work out how I missed hibs, I think meadowbank trained Tuesday and Thursday so possibly just different nights from hibs

Would have been around 1980-82. Remember seeing the likes of Sneddon, Jackie Mac and John Blackley over there. Probably part of the reason these guys were hard as nails!

Did Mixu not happen to go for a run in Holyrood Park when he was looking for a club before his second stint with us ?
