View Full Version : Jack Ross pre match conference
Speaks very well, but why oh why can I never hear the questioners, it's really frustrating. 🙄

Did he give any info on Nisbet? Is he likely to be in the squad?

JR does say he's doubtful and tbh I think that gives him as much chance of playing as not, we're playing our biggest rivals for 3rd so very unlikely he'd announce he was fit and raring to go, will want to keep McInnes guessing as it will ultimately change formation I'd imagine.
I think we'll play safe and not start him, Imo JR is a risk averse manager by nature so will start off defending the point we have at the start and hope to build on that as the game develops, no crowd for a home game will probably make this more likely.
It's not how I would naturally want to approach it but at this moment we have to accept he's returning a great points ratio and a careful approach to playing Aberdeen but getting 3pts after slowly controlling things would be a great result.
My hesitation is that Aberdeen are the masters of grinding out the result when it's a dour game, we need to be proactive with Allan and Boyler to the fore dictating the pace of the game, tbh that possibly means Nisbet would be a sub as I think Drey Wright could have a big bearing on this game.
Trust in Jack, he's getting exactly the right results so will support whatever he starts with.
And critique harshly afterwards no doubt!

I don't think he'll risk it. Not with a wee international break coming up.

If we are to kick on and make serious challenge for third JR just be targeting a win here.

Yes but as previous poster pointed out its all about how we achieve that.

Aberdeen have started well and are a team well capable of beating us.....ironically Aberdeen will be thinking exactly the same about us. Neither side will want to spoil a decent run of form by loosing to such a close rival so I expect a rather cagey, 'safe' affair. Despite our starts neither team have set the heather alight and I don't think this will be the game to change it....both managers are risk adverse and I think that will come out in the game, add to that no crowd and you also take away the pressure to change things if the performances are rather slow.
The interesting sub text is McCrorie, could you imagine this place if he got a last minute winner!!!

I can hear Jack and I could hear the BBC boy the rest is pretty mumbled. Probably the least mumbled this week but the sound is normally dreadful
