We've already got Tommy Tap In, Rab C Nesbit and Skippy.

What more could we possibly want?

Yes

We're far too light uptop

Its not essential. Bringing in another ST just hampers Gullans development and chances of making it at Hibs - I believe he is good enough.

Doidge, Nisbet, Gullan, and Boyle can all play up top.

I just don’t get this type of chat.

Gullan will play if he’s good enough. We’ve only got 3 real strikers and Gullan is very much still unproven.

If we want to get better we have to continually bring in better than we have. We won’t get too far if we limit ourselves to not bringing in a striker better than Gullan in case it means he doesn’t play. We’re Hibs, it isn’t meant to be easy to get a game for us.

Nope.

Doidge, Nisbet, Gullan and Boyle give us plenty of options. Mallan and Allan could both play a second striker just off one up front if needed.

The middle of the park still isn't right - everything should be geared at improving the centre of midfield.

Up front and in defence we are sorted.

McNulty's 28 next month, he's got 2 years left at Reading, if they release him/pay him off (makes sense for him & Reading), I'd take him. His Twitter profile pic is still him in Hibs kit, I think he'd like to come here on a permanent. If it doesn't work out, there'll be a team (League One, League Two, Dundee Utd) willing to pay 250k+ for him. Wouldn't be a marquee signing, would have to fight for his place and win the fans over.

I really don’t think McNulty is that great.

Yes. I'd go for an older experienced striker that we could throw on late in a game if we are struggling to give us something different. Hopefully they would aid with the development of Gullan too. Somebody like what Kenny Miller was like at the end of his career, or a Grant Holt type.

If we needed another striker I prefer this idea to some of the other suggestions that are being bandied around. Someone with a footballing brain, rather than just someone who runs around.

It’s going to be difficult to get a striker to come when they know they’re going to be third or forth choice. Four options up front is probably enough.

Yes. Strikers always go through barren spells, plus injuries. McNulty and Griffiths types, guys with something to prove. While we are at another couple of robust midfielders and a utility type of defender.

Course we do. It’s a squad game these days. Definitely need one more striker. Can’t go through a season with just what we have.

Or Messi.

Signing both is probably OTT.
