Welcome back, Malcolm. Huge amount of experience to draw upon in our boardroom.

There was a Malcolm that posted on here during the Hearts relegation legal battle, seemed very clued up on the legal matters and processes.

Same guy?

He was chairman when we signed Latapy and Sauzee. Presumably Ron has brought him in to oversee the forthcoming Suarez signing.

Amanda's legal skills were in employment law. I don't think he's from the same area.

Didn’t he leave because he didn’t see eye to eye with Rod?

I think he was against the sacking.

I think he was against the sacking.

From reading the evening news article it would seem so. Quotes him saying he didn't like sacking Sauzee and didn't see eye to eye with other board members over it.

Not sure if he was against it or not, but the board felt that Sauzee had lost the dressing room

Rod Petrie was the only board member against the sacking.

That's how I remember it.

Will be interesting to see if this gives Sauzee reason or cause not to make the return to Easter Road that had been planned for this year (but obviously would need to be postponed in any event).

I remember from interviews during his previous spell with us that he had a genuine passion for our club and its history . Interesting that he`s met Ron G many times even before returning officially to club .

Very positive move by Ron, bringing in a true Hibby to the Board, rather than surrounding himself with cronies.

Had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Malcolm some years ago. He's a top bloke and a good Hibby so am happy to see him back involved :aok:

I am pretty sure he came down to speak to London Hibs whilst he was Chairman and spent a good evening answering questions and having a few sherbets with the members. The old memory is not what is used to be, but I am sure it was him and I was very impressed. Brog will remember.
