Mind this 😂

OLD FIRM pair Celtic and Rangers are tracking Hearts’ powerhouse Uche Ikpeazu.

Striker Ikpeazu, 24, was playing in League Two last season with Cambridge United, where he scored 22 goals in 80 outings.

But the 6ft 3in hitman has impressed with his physicality north of the border since joining on a free in the summer.

He hit the winner in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Hearts and has grabbed the attention of both Celtic and Rangers, while Hull are also keen.

Cardiff City are also interested but any move is dependent on which league they are playing in next season.

Should they drop back to the Championship, then a move is far more likely for the Harrow-born ace who started his career at Reading.

Neil Warnock's side are five points from safety with seven games to play.

BATTLE OF CELTIC PARK
Ikpeazu extended his contract until 2022 last month so Hearts would be looking for around £1million for the burly forward.

Probably a signing that best sums up Potter’s tenure at Tiny

Fat, unfit, slower than a week in the jail, couldnae run, breathing through his arse, very limited football ability, used as a human battering ram, always gave 100% or the best he could and for all his failings he was a pest and still managed to score a couple of goals against us even although he must be one of the worst players I have ever seen in a Hearts jersey

The most baffling/embarrassing thing about Ikpeazu saying it is that it must be a common thing that Hearts players say. You can understand blinkered thick fans from Gorgie coming out with things like that when they haven't finished above Hibs in years and have just been relegated but a player, a very poor one at that, from London with no emotional ties to the club... Odd to the extreme.

I notice in Conor Washington's thing in the EEN today that he also mentions Hearts being the 3rd biggest team in Scotland. It looks like this is drummed into them by the club/coaches and I'm beginning to think it's one of the reasons for their recent problems, ie. they believe that they're part of some massive, "famous" outfit and develop a sense of entitlement which leaves them lacking on the pitch.

I guess it helps to keep the hearts fans attention away from:

they have a very expensively-assembled squad, that they can't afford (without dole money from James Anderson)

they had more internationalists than anyone outside the old firm (including a certain Conor Washington)

all they had to do was beat St Mirren (and their fans knew it too)

and they finished 12th.

Still, third biggest in Scotland, that is amazing Conor....

No other club in world football claims third biggest as some kind of badge of honour. Especially relegated ones who haven't finished above their city rivals in years, have won less than their city rivals over last half a century and who haven't won the league cup since before man landed on the moon. They're a funny lot.

No she didn’t, whoever persuaded the Lithuanians to forget about the 28.5m debt saved Hearts. Once that was done Budge invested 2.5m in Hearts to be repaid in full with interest. Hearts should have a statue of Mr Jackson in their new stand.

Half his goals were against lower league teams as well! Embarrassing that he managed 20% of his goals against us but shows the mentality of their fans that he'll go down as a 'legend' for that [emoji85]

There was another £40 million of debt written off or converted to worthless shares by Romanov. Only less than 2 2 million went to the creditors, the rest went to the administrators. Bankruptcy would have left the Lithuanian state with Tynecastle whose only real value was property development. The creditors must have been convinced by somebody that they would find it difficult to get planning permission for anything other than sports use.

They could have retained Tynecastle and leased it back to Hearts at say £1m per year. To write off th3 whole debt seemed just daft.
