Alright guys we have been camping for a couple of nights with the allocated permit that runs out today. My question is if we put the tent away and keep a couple things out are you allowed to stay at the shores?

i would imagine you become a daytripper having a picnic once the camping gear is away.

Maybe not

Permits cost £3 per tent or motorhome/campervan per night. You will need a permit for each tent you intend to put up in a permit area.
You can book a camping permit for up to three nights in one area.
You can book up to 2 weeks in advance (summer 2020).
A permit allows you to camp anywhere within your chosen permit area.
You can arrive from 1pm and must depart by 11am on the day you are leaving.

We decided to take the youngest camping twice over the past four weeks.
Both times it rained heavily on the second night. Tent was soaking.
It was a bit of an endurance if im being honest.

Things I learned.
Get a decent tent that you can stand up in.
Hydrostatic Head is important. The higher the number the more waterproof it is.
If you are male , do not buy the "mummy" style sleeping bags. They are tapered at the bottom which restricts the bending of one leg. You can bend both at the same time but you cant lay on your side without crushing your fun bags.

Firefighters are essential.

Buy logs before you go :greengrin

Things have certainly changed since I last went camping, the homoerotic role play was optional then!

Throw in a leather-clad biker, a Native American chief and a US motorcycle cop and there's a party camp. Or maybe a camp party.

Not sure if there is a YMCA but there is a SYHA at Rowardennan.
