There was a massive gap between the defenders. Made it the obvious target for Burke (though it was a good strike). Too much fannying about in the corner leading up to it as well.

Like the look of Gogic. Reads the game really well, picks up a lot of interceptions and wins a lot of headers and tackles in the middle of the park. Shouldn’t have let it roll through him for the goal but imo the defence should have pinged it long 5 passes earlier.

Nisbet looks good. Big strong and mobile, wish we could get it into his feet more.

Wright has worked really hard in the wing back role and won the ball for us a lot, look forward to see him on the left of midfield now.

Imo Marciano tried to be clever with his positioning thinking Burke would go for the other corner. He left a gap at his side which Burke hit. Great strike but if he is positioned normally he saves that imo.

Boyle is the difference.

That’s the issue for me. You account for the fact that the wall is covering one side by covering the other side slightly more yourself. One step to his right and he’d have saved that. Two good finishes from Boyle, but overall we're allowing Killie far too much possession allowing them to get more crosses in than I would like. We are playing ok, but you can see some ring rust and that a few of the players are new to the team .... a good first half from Gogic, but he didn't cover himself in glory messing about too much at the free kick. It was a good hit by Burke, but he hit it straight without having to get it over or around the wall, you have to question it's positioning for me.

At least we are still a goal up, but this is far from finished I fear.

Possibly but it’s ultra tight margins. I think it’s the movement on the ball that’s beat him as much as anything. You could have went with an extra man but there’s a strong case fir a 4-man wall being overkill for a free kick 30 yards out. Hopefully we’ll restore our 2 goal cushion shortly!

I think we have been pretty poor here. 2 good goals and we have defended pretty well but they are getting so much of the ball and we have barely strung 3 passes together from about 20 minutes onwards. Nothing is sticking up top either which is frustrating as we saw what can happen with the 1st goal when it does.

We look keen to get forward which is welcome but it's all been a bit rushed and messy. Hopefully just teething problems and ultimately if we hold on 3 points is 3 points.
