Not sure what’s going on in England now, but 12 points deducted for next season. They’d be have been relegated if it was this season
Wigan get deducted 12 this season, and get relegated

Can see an appeal coming in from Charlton who were third bottom.

I thought I read a couple of weeks ago that punishments would be applied this season if they had an effect on relegation, but next season if they didn’t. Although I found the whole situation rather confusing so may have misunderstood it.

How does this differ from Man City’s breach of FFP?

Laughing stock.
No wonder Hearts think they should take Wigan place in that league, they could show them how to do it!

Seriously though, for all the likes of Tom English and Levein have been calling our league situation farcical and an embarrassment it's really football in general has had to deal with major issues regarding relegation.
France and Belgium referred to their court system, EFL 1 & 2 using average points, depending on appeals etc EFL Championship could have 2 teams relegated while there are points deductions carried over, Derby County are still potentially going to have points deducted for similar offence as Sheff Weds so will there be 3 teams starting on - 12 points next season? That's farcical Tom.
Even the hallowed EPL has Bournemouth questioning their relegation due to a 1 in 9000 fault of hawkeye.
Although Hearts did do their best to make us look stupid ultimately no one outside Scotland will really raise an eyebrow to the events and will probably just wonder why its still being talked about.
Surely with new season starting it has to be given a cursory mention and then concentrate on the actual games going ahead
