Hello all!

Last week I spoke to the messiah Alan Stubbs on the 'Well Done Michael, He's 13' podcast.

It was an absolute honour to have him on the show and his Scottish Cup stories alone are INCREDIBLE!

Maybe there’s bias or man crush, but I could listen to Stubbs all day. Sing me a poem, read me a bedtime tale.

Enjoyed that thanks for sharing, would have liked a little on the aftermath of the cup win, he spoke fondly about it basically being his team/club from the word go and how he helped get everything in place to turn it around, I’d like to know why it seemed so easy to head down to Rotherham after achieving that still having promotion to deliver and Europe to look forward too, understand the whole ruined legacy of it goes sour the next season but jeez the place was jumping the next year and he missed all that and it seemed to me he jumped at the first offer Rotherham! was always a hard ask that

If he was getting a higher wage, closer to family and a chance that if it went well he could find himself in the top flight on his next move, that would be a big pull for anybody.

Sadly he picked the wrong team twice in a row and I'd be amazed if he found himself back in management but it's understandable.

Yeah I see that reason to it, I just think a season where we’re favourites for promotion and the added bonus of a euro adventure on the back of a cup win like that would have opened the door to a better championship club than the smallest club in the division favourites to go down.

Family pull would be difficult that’s for sure I just think he done himself not staying another 12 months

I've always been surprised at how little a reception he gets on the ocassions he comes back tbh.
