Think they’ve signed up a few of the BT Sport team (Huns aside obviously).

Dunno if that means the end of him on Sportsound, a programme that badly needs half decent pundits.

Think they have Stewart and Sutton who I'm sure are both Freelance so Stewart will still be able to do his BBC work and Sutton his BT work, think Strachan is also involved

Imagine wanting to earn more by doing something he's very good at and look after his family during a global pandemic. What a ****bag

Weird move for someone with no previous connection to Celtic to be fair

Weird move for someone with no previous connection to Celtic to be fair

Why?
He's a sports pundit that has lost income as BT lost access to the SPFL games/work.

He has no Der Hun baggage and is thought by many fans to be one of the best football pundits in Scotland.

Good luck to him 👍

That's a real shame.

I think we'll see a few pundits working on more than one club's own channel, as well as their other media involvement. Craigan is working with Ross County, but I'd imagine he'll be involved elsewhere too.

What is the current exchange rate between the Maroon Pound and the Celtic Coin?

I hear the maroon pound has been drastically effected by the current recession and is only good in exchange for cakes and buns in Dalry and Gorgie located bakeries...

It would take a shed load maroon pounds to buy a single Celtic coin and that coin is worth a fraction of our green groat😁

Excellent addition imo.

The guy is extremely knowledgeable about his football and his vocabulary is certainly far better than most in the punditry world.

Hopefully Thomas English leaves BBC now. That would be a cause to pop the beers open [emoji16]

That's my point. I find it quite a strange career move to make for one of Scotland's leading pundits to effectively 'pick a side' of one of the countries two biggest teams, becoming an employee of them.

How impartial can we expect Michael Stewart to be when discussing a dubious penalty awarded to celtic against hibs on sportscene for example? Or about the actions of celtic supporters, players, managers etc when he is an employee of that club? (I know there are other pundits with allegiances of course but rarely are these actually current employees of a club)

The "maroon pound" ?......it's only worth 10pence is it not ?

I know the guy who produced the Scottish football coverage for BT sport, when it was announced that clubs could show their own games with permission from sky, he got the contract for celtic and ross county pretty quickly, so that’s one of the main reason for the BT sport pundits heading to do the celtic coverage and Craigan heading to ross county.

Wonder if his comments about Jim Traynor Rangers Director of Communications has anything to do with this appointment!

I don’t think I anything to do with Stewart picking a side. Celtic have agreed a deal with sunset and vine the production company that ran Bt sports and also do premier. Sutton Harrison Stewart Hamilton Currie etc all have some element of contract with them, so they’ll have been part of the package that Celtic paid for. The same with Craigan going to county.
