Linking to the electric cars thread, I'd ideally like to try leasing one but not sure if that's feasible.

I believe you still get wall charger grant etc as if you were buying one

I’d recommend leasing especially with an electric car, I’m not sure how well they will keep their value after 4 or 5 years when the batteries are done and the technology has moved on considerably.
I’m half way through my 3rd two year lease, I find 2 years is long enough before I’m looking for a change, can’t beat having a new car with no unexpected bills because it’s always under warranty.

My worry with electric isnt the battery lifespan (im sure most come with 8 year warranty on batteries), more the technology advances
If we get an electric car it would be lease for 24-36 months
That way if 400 mile range is normal then we arnt left with something that does 150 miles
