I heard on the radio this morning them pleading with the SPFL not to add fan noise, so I hopped on their Twitter to find the story and how much surveying they have done on this fact.
Couldn't find any evidence, looks like they have just decided that fake fan noise is bad. It might be, but they can't claime speak for supporters without surveying etc.
Then scrolled through their feed. They were very vocal that "clubs should do the right thing and vote for reconstruction", with many stories along this theme.
What are the purpose of SDS and what gives them the authority to speak on behalf of the Scottish supporter? Genuinely curious if anyone knows any more

Nothing at all would be my guess.

The guy running it is an idiot.

p.s. A straw poll among mates at last nights quiz was 100% for it - fake crowd noise is very good and enhances the experience of watching football with no fans.

Did Supporters direct not have a bit to do with FoH when they were setting up and I'm sure I've heard them banging the drum on how blooming great they are.

The fan noise in the German games is excellent, not so much the EPL so far.

Is the crowd noise broadcast in the stadium or just layered over the television audio?
(I haven’t yet watched any closed door football so apologies if the answer is an obvious one!)

Fake fan noise is fine, better than the training ground style silence with just the thud of the ball being hit.

The only strange bit is when the noise doesn't correlate with the action (i.e. a bad tackle or shot) but generally it's good.

It’s just layered over for the TV viewer, won’t be able to hear anything inside the ground.

Just a magnificent movement.

But it’s difficult to flush.
