Hi,

As the title suggests wondering if anyone knows anything about this rum? It was found at the back of a work colleagues gran's cupboard, at least 40 years old but potentially older. Looked online and can't find much out about it at all. Suspect it is worthless as I am not aware of a market for "vintage" rum (I have a suspicion rum does not age well as it is made with sugar but not 100% on that) but if anything know about Quinn's of Cookstown or the rum itself would appreciate if they advised.

Should be ok to drink. Ultimately all alcohol comes from fermented sugars. There should be enough alcohol in Rum to preserve it.

Found this online

Looks like a half bottle of dark rum from the same distillery from the 1970s retailing online for £100
