The best performance I have seen from a hibs team. Tearing them to shreds for the 3rd, 4th and 6th goals. I was in the FF lower as a kid dancing about on my seat, couldn't believe what I was watching. Went up to one of the suites after the game and managed to meet a few of the players.

Agree 100% Foot came off the gas. On the night, while celebrating, that goal was annoying me. I've got over it with the passage of time though!

I remember following this match on an online text commentary . Must have been before Hibs TV started showing games . Anyway , I`ll still remember comments like " sublime play by Hibernian , like Milan or Barcelona " .

Iirc we were pretty dire for the 1st 25 minutes or so. I remember thinking it was going to be a 'typical Hibs' Derby performance.

When we got going we were unplayable though. For all the plaudits Latapys goal gets I think Mixus 3rd is my favourite. Mixu to Latapy, wee shuffle, beautifully weighted cross field ball to O'Neil, pin point cross, great finish on the slide. A proper team goal.

Yes, I’ve just rewatched it and we created hardly anything in the first 35-40 minutes.

When they were a goal up I remember thinking “this is exactly like dozens of derbys I’ve seen before”...
