Couple of tough home games coming up. I don't take much comfort in Werder being at home as their home record seems poor.

Now would be the time to start improving it!

That’s a great win and well deserved. With the crowd noise you would never know the stadium was empty bar the odd camera shot

They next play Frankfurt, who are below Schalke and Freiburg, both of whom they've beaten since the restart.

Beat them both away but you are right they are below both of them. Frankfurt always seem to be worth a goal so could be a good game.

Great win for Bremen, they might just save themselves.

Wondering that without a crowd, whether theres much difference between home and away. 3 out of the 4 teams who won this afternoon were away sides.

It has been massively in favour of away sides so far.

The German commentator on last nights game mentioned this. Apparently since the restart without fans, there have been more away wins than home wins.

I’m sure it was only 5 or 6 out of 29 games were home wins since the restart.

Just checked and if I'm correct there have been 7 home wins and 15 away wins since the restart.

That's quite a stat. Be interesting to see if playing behind
closed doors would have an effect in Scotland. No 50,000 fans at Ibrox and Parkhead influencing refs, no large supports at away grounds.

The results were skewed towards away results before the shut down as well though.

3 clean sheets in a row for werder.

What’s the language of the players like, is there lots of swearing or have they been instructed to tone it down?

Definitely plays a role in our game :agree:

Didn't realise that.

Good defensive record since the restart, with a game in hand they've now almost got their fate back under their own control.

Germans never swear. They're far too disciplined for that kind of behaviour.

Germans don't swear quite the same as English speaking citizens. They tend to reserve swearing for insults. Even then it's strange being called something like an "Arschgeige" which basically translates to "arse violin". They do however use "scheisse" in a similar way to our "f#*k".

What I did notice though, was that there's a lot of English being used that wasn't used when I used to play. Things like "Man on" as opposed to "hinterman" when warning of an unseen opponent in the vicinity. But everything is basically the same as watching my local team Blau Weiss Dahlewitz in the county league.
