What's everyone listening to? Or what genre do you like listening to?
i've referenced it on other threads, but i'm in the process of setting up my own so 1) shamelessly plugging mine here please delete if not allowed but hoping to get some interest and support from friends/family/fellow hibs fans 2) Curious to what people like to hear in a podcast and 3) Would you be willing to be a guest?
This is a podcast for everyday stories, we're all interesting in our way so lets chat

I listen to loads of podcasts, usually when running or walking to work.
My never miss list is Athletico Mince, My Dad Wrote a Porno, Guardian Science Weekly, Grounded with Louis Theroux and Airplane Geeks.
Politics wise I listen to Remainiacs and CakeWatch a lot.
I dip into both Longbangers and Hibs Talk. I'm not really keen on much of the other Scottish football stuff. I do listen to Off The Ball as a podcast but that's not really podcast specific.
The Runners World podcast is hit or miss and very London/South of England centric but it has it's moments. Tartan Running Shorts is a great Scottish running podcast. It's probably the best example of a couple of guys just talking about something they love and not really bothering too much about trying to make it anything more than that. The Rambling Runner is similar and brilliant for it.
I think the really great thing about a podcast is it doesn't have to have mass appeal. It's fairly cheap to put together and get out there. Almost any subject will capture a few peoples imagination.

I've listened to them since their XFM & Radio X days and it's always brilliant.

Golazzo : The Totally Italian Football Show, with James Richardson.
Golazzo : The Totally Italian Football Show, with James Richardson.
Second this shout a Fantastic podcast
quite enjoyed Dirty John podcast much better than the Tv series that was made from it, also on the true crime theme I enjoyed are teachers pet, death in ice valley and there was a good couple of seasons of up and vanished.
BBC radio 4 also had a good couple of shows one on the Berlin Wall and another about the search of a nazi officer the names escape me though

13 minutes to the Moon (BBC sounds)
A series about the 13 minute decent to the Moon by Apollo 11.
Its fantastically done with great depth about the people involved and where they came from.
Average age of the control team in Houston for that mission was 27.
Considering the number of people involved , its incredible.
One of the team had to decide whether to abort or not after an onboard computer warning a few minutes into the decent. He was only 23.
Great stuff.

Stumbled across the one about Berlin Wall again, it’s called intrigue: Tunnel 29 was a really good listen

Is the James English ones the guy interviewing gangsters and basically licking their arse? If so I can’t be bothered with them, if not there’s one out there with a guy that does that - he’s a real sycophant.

That's the one, i dont get it with him?
All he does is let every tom dick and harry tell their story about how much of a crook they have been, and brag about their violence and how hard they are.
Then they always go for the sympathy vote by saying how hard their upbringing was, while English blows smoke up their arse.
It must be something about that surname, that gives then delusions of grandeur, and the ability to spout *****.

It’s not for me - I listened to 4 or 5 last year and was sick of the guy. Really sycophantic and happy to glorify all their “misdemeanours”. It’s like the books the casuals brings out - once you’ve read one guy tell you how there was 20 of them against just him and he never ran then you’ve read them all.
I’ve just had a flick though his page on Apple podcasts and the majority are gangsters with the odd conspiracy theory one mixed in.

I subscribe and listen to loads, especially this year.
For politics and news, Today in Focus by the Guardian and Politics Weekly. Also Talking Politics-The History of Ideas.
History: History Extra is a 10/10, BBCs In our Time (melvyn Bragg) and The History of the World in 100 Objects is just fantastic.
Anything the BBC World Service does History wise is always excellent.
Sport, all the Totally Football Pods, Golazzo, the football league show, the Totally Scottish (although I accept this is fairly crap most of the time, The Terrace is probably better and I might switch to that) Longbangers, The goalkeepers union podcast with Richard Lee, Around the NFL Podcast. I have deleted the Scottish Football Coaching podcast from the SFA because the quality of chat is embarrassingly bad but they sometimes get interesting guests on.
Comedy I’ve been listening to Athletico Mince, Katherine Ryan, relistening to Alexei Sayles Legendary Sandwich Bar from a few years back.
About Race by Reni Eddo Lodge opened my eyes to what the BLM movement is about.

My first two podcasts have dropped - for anyone following my page on FB, I'll be doing a live launch at 7PM.
There'll be two main strands, I Am... and My Top 5. I am will tell someone's story be it highlighting a success story or Dailly struggles/battles. Top 5 will differ weekly to football games, movies, TV shows etc. First up, its a rangers fan for my top 5 and I Am... Sean W who lost his leg in Afghanistan

James English interviewing Rodri Giggs, Ryan’s brother. Seeming an explosive interview
I really have no time for Ryan, what he done to his brother was absolutely disgraceful
