Believe a 33 year old Hibs fan, father of 2, passed away and his funeral is this afternoon.

Is that why there’s scarves, shirts etc tied to the East Stand gate?

It’s not for that, it’s for someone who passed away recently.

A 33 year old, that's really tragic.
Does anyone know who it was?

There's now an article in the Evening News (https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/people/police-called-after-hundreds-mourners-attend-edinburgh-funeral-procession-2859904) about the funeral. (though they did put a bit of a strange slant on it)

Typical evening news, very selective reporting contrasted with a few weeks ago when a local rugby player who’s funeral attracted a large local show of support in Clermiston from the community, the news also reported on this but in a respectful manner

Yep, the headline suggest police were called to the scene but that's not what happened at all.
They couldn't possibly have had a headline like "Hibs Fans bid fond farewell to fellow Fan".
