I think we were kind of assuming this anyway, but where's Cormack getting this from? Was it confirmed at today's meeting (you know, the meeting where Hearts' relegation was confirmed)?

I wonder if football outside the Prem will even be viable then?

Makes it easier for all those Jambos threatening to boycott games

Early 2021 is an improvement on fans never returning at all.

Hard hat on but I have to say that if this is the case, and assuming playing behind closed doors is too expensive for the SPFL, then starting the league from where it currently sits is surely the best option?

It’s got to be easier than trying to squeeze a shortened season into six months.

Of course, let’s not decide to do that until the Jambos have revamped their playing staff in readiness for the Championship.

It's what I've said all along. Makes no sense to conclude this season until we know when we can start again.

Clubs need money now from both prize money and season ticket sales.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean? How could they do that now that the season has been officially ended, Celtic declared champions, Hearts relegated and prize money now being paid out?

It's all about trying to get next season started now.

Not for me. Loans will have ended, contracts would be up etc. Would open a massive can of worms. Teams on good runs will have been compromised and visa versa. Ending it now is the fairest solution. All about next season now.

Is this not a shot across the Jambos bows. "Dont waste time and money on legals whilst this is still possible" ?

I would have been quite supportive of restarting this season whenever it was deemed safe to do so, if Hearts hadn't been bottom of the league. :greengrin

Early 2021 is an improvement on fans never returning at all.

I don't think that's ever been a credible view though.
