Was discussing Shipman at work yesterday that got me to thinking I wonder in world just now if there are any of these horrible types of people taking advantage of this virus to carry out there acts and will never get found out.

There are many more good people than bad out there Captain. Shipman was an extreme example of the bad

I am aware of that it was just a point however there have been a fair few killers operating in hospitals over the years.

And again, I stress the best of them are far far better than the bad. I am in the NHS and very proud of it. We can all find an example of evil in all jobs, at this particular time the best of people are shining and deserve so much respect

Nobody is trying to take any respect away from anyone the job being done by everyone. It was a topic that perhaps might be interesting to some or maybe nobody. All of what you say goes without saying and is not really the point I am making.

Without knowing much about the nuts and bolts about what goes on when treating Covid patients, I know that in hospitals patients are treated by teams of loads of people. Under those circumstances it is very hard for "lone wolf" nasty operators to operate and get away with it without arousing suspicion.

It is much harder when you have the likes of Shipman working away in his own little bubble.

There have been all sorts of regulations brought in since those cases with the aim of protecting the public but they rarely have the desired effect. Put it this way - I'd expect Jimmy Savile to have all the appropriate paperwork in place.

You might wonder if someone might get away with stuff when so many people are dying in a care home setting but every individual death is still a tragedy. If there was any "jiggery-pokery" going on, there would still be so many people around to pick up on anything that might be out of the ordinary that I just couldn't see it happening.

The two people you mention still stick out a mile. There's only so much you can do when evil like that exists unfortunately, but there are still safeguards in place to ensure that it doesn't - or that if it does then it gets picked up early and doesn't lead to multiple victims.
