I remember some of the tackles that guy put in, makes me shudder thinking about them.

in with 2 feet , studs first , 3 feet off the ground. All ok as long as he got the ball first. :greengrin

His enjoyed his book. Football autobiographies tend to be recounting glittering careers but this was a good insight into a low earning journeyman and the quandaries such players faced making decisions on an enthusiasm for the game against earning a steady wage in alternative work.
