Anybody know why?

My daughter who lives next door has just phoned to ask me if I'd heard anything. Said loads of taxis and people wearing Hibs/green tops going about.

I take it this is some kind of wind-up/in-joke
Nope, genuine. She lives in Hawkhill Close and called to ask if I'd heard anything.

Apparently it’s like a guard of honour for a taxi driver that passed away, passing ER on the way to the crematorium.

It was for a funeral of a taxi driver. The hearse drove past the stadium so people could pay their respects.

Could be that - they dressed up the Roseburn earlier as well (assuming it’s the same guy).

Could be some truth in this, I remember reading something on my FB feed.

I saw the funeral procession at Carricknowe, the gentleman who passed away was Gordon Reid I believe, I didn’t know him but many people had T-shirts on with his name on it. RIP.

Had there been a normal funeral, free of current restrictions
,there would have been a big turn out for Gogs at Mortonhall.
I did not know him well ,but we had mutual friends.
The press presence following the cortege included a BBC film crew (with the family's permission)
So may be some thing on tonight's Reporting Scotland

RIP Gogs

Good guy and a good Hibby. He’s a mate of my dads, and I went with them in a limo to the Ross County cup final back in 2016.

That’s brutal to think this gentleman made a conscious life choice to try and avoid the virus yet still ended up with it. Something for all of those sitting out in parks today bevvying and socialising to have a think about.
