A sensible decision.

Fair play to Hibs, it's morally the correct and sensible thing to do given the circumstances.

Well done Hibs, I’m more likely to renew in a months time when more is known about next seasons plans.

Correct decision.

Let’s keep supporting the club and it’s good to see them more open about finding solutions to the unprecedented situation we find ourselves in.

Also made mention of possible refunds for the current season, i.e. that they are aware that this might be an issue for some, but can't currently do anything about it.

Well done Hibs, this will help a number of supporters who will appreciate another month before parting with cash

A good decision.
Another month and the whole picture and way forward will be much clearer for us all including employment issues.
The death rate will be much lower and track and trace apps etc will be in place.

All these thinks will help folk decide if their personal position allows them to commit the cash for a ST.
Can see us hitting 10,000 season ticket sales by the 10th June.

The club are ticking along nicely through this nightmare and will pop out the other side intact thanks to the stable state of the clubs finances going into it and the commitment of the supporters since the pandemic took hold.

Well Ron certainly can’t question whether or not the fans are looking to buy into his vision after this. Certainly ponied up & the club have done the right things during this

So LD has said it’ll hurt us financially if people ask for full refunds from the 19-20 season, which makes perfect sense. Some Jambos have taken this as us being skint and entered full on “tick tock” mode. Morons.

The problem in your post is that the bits in bold dont often meet up.

Its seems to me that Hibs will offer people a refund for matches uncompleted once the league is called - how many actually take up this offer is unknown, although probably minimal.

Can't see it being a cash refund, more likely a credit of sort similar to what Rangers offered their fans IMO. Think the current buns are getting a £25 voucher that can be used towards a cup-tie, SevcoTV and hospitality etc.

There has been a really strong shift in direction over the past 4 years throughout the club to make it much more appealing to fans. Our social media is first class, our PR is excellent and now the boardroom decisions are putting us at the forefront. Ron Gordon has catalysed this after much good work from LD. Well done Hibs.

So we are at 7000 season tickets and counting . What would be great figure to reach for this season. I doubt if their has been a time when the club need our money more than ever .
Could we aim for 11000 tickets ? Or more?

Likes loads of others, I've renewed for next season and I definitely do not want a refund for this season.
I wonder though, if the club made a gesture along the lines of maybe offering a nice simple green and white t-shirt, with a logo,

"I stood by my club when it mattered 2020"

I'm not sure of the overall costs in doing this, but I reckon 10,000 or so t shirts printed and then, when ready, to be picked up from the club store, would be a fraction of the costs relating to a refund.
Any thoughts on this folks ?

I think hitting 7000 when there's a very real possibility of no fans being allowed into stadiums until next year is already a great number.

I would imagine there will be more Hearts fans asking for refunds than Hibs fans, or did they complete all their fixtures?.

It appears that they think they are the only club that are not impacted by anything.

I was going to wait until 3 June but cracked earlier this week and renewed.

A very small step towards us announcing 8000.

I've said all along that I'll only be buying once reconstruction has been put to bed. So that list sits at at least 1 :greengrin

We have done really well to get to 7000.

But surely you understand what I mean? That there could be a lot of people between now and the new early bird deadline who may have second thoughts if Hearts stay up..........especially if Hibs are in any way voting to help them.

No I don’t see it, Hibs have clearly demonstrated they won’t be helping them, Hearts in the same league is also a better attraction as there will be the Derbies and in general Hibs have created a great feel good factor with the fans hence the great numbers so far.

Yep - but you know as well as I do that we have our fair share of moonhowlers who think - until proven otherwise - that our board are "not to be trusted" and will somehow save our pals across the road.

It has happened many times before, and its nailed on that there will be people thinking this right now.

(not me, by the way :greengrin)

That particular message is a bit uberfan, but agree some sort of cost effective gesture would be good.
