The only answer that was missing to any questions though that perhaps gay football players don’t want to be anything else but footballers and there’s zero difference regardless of sexuality, nothing to do with being scared or pressured but probably don’t want it highlighted to take over from the fact they are brilliant footballers. Who cares at all who has a wife, boyfriend, pornstar? Husband? It’s doesn’t have to automatically have to be someone’s fault.

Gay footballers probably want to be known as footballers first regardless of sexuality. Unfortunately people pushing football is homophobic tag makes harder to make this happen (no offence to the op) and it’s just my opinion as a straight male also.
