Supposedly tonight at 8pm in Leith...

Let's get Sunshine On Leith blasting from every window and balcony in every street, stair and tenement!

A tribute and big thank you to all hospital, supermarket, transport and care workers and their efforts.

Followed by safe street and stair meetings to organise committees to help our elderly and vulnerable neighbours.

A group on every street and in every stair.

Great idea.

For anyone willing and able to help there are Edinburgh wide and local area groups springing up all over Facebook for people to ask for and offer help to those who need it. They are trying to find a system that works but they are getting more coordinated and it's a good way to both help out and feel useful.

Hope it took place especially bit about care groups etc . Just finishing 4th day of lockdown here in Spain and applause for hospital workers at 8 pm has already become a habit and something to look forward to .

And so you should be. Fantastic people one and all.

Not that it’s important to them as they do it because they are caring individuals by nature, but I really hope they get a Xmas bonus or something to show the countries’ appreciation of their commitment to us and the lives they will have undoubtedly saved over and above what they normally do anyway every year.
