For his first game, away to Pittodrie against a decent team and playing up against big defenders I thought he done well.

Has confidence in himself and had some real nice bits of play.

Should have scored but they will come for him.

Well done Jamie.

Looks a really good all round player which is invaluable in this day and age. Some great signs from him so far.

Should have scored but didn’t look out of place.

His miss affected him IMO. Never really did much after that.

Done a Doidge, hopefully his form takes a similar turn

I said it after his goal v ICT and I'm saying it again now. Gullan has what it takes and will make it at Hibs.

Think this was Jamie’s 1st start for Hibs, and he didn’t look out of place at this level

He’s got to score that chance though. Hit it in the air ffs. He played well though.

He did great. I wouldn’t have taken him off before Allan. Push Boyle in central and out him out wide when we were forced to go one up top. He’s got bags of energy. I like him.

It wasn't as easy a chance as made out on the radio. He really has a burst of pace and looks like he is just playing his own game rather than trying not to make mistake. Looks to have a good future but like Shaw if teh manager doesn't play him he won't develop

thought he played well today, should start the next match as should hallberg.

Thought he had a decent game, looks a very good prospect - I would have kept him on and subbed Doidge instead yesterday...

Thought he done well yesterday , looked quite sharp.
Probably should have scored but for his 1st start did fine.
Hopefully get a regular start now.

Great wee player in the making. Can see him forcing his way into the first 11 permanently next season, if not this.

Not that easy a chance especially on what I assume is his weaker side he will be disappointed he didn't catch it as well as he would have wanted to.

I was gutted for him when he missed his chance. Hopefully he’ll start banging them in like he has done in the development team. I like the look of him, he’s a big unit with a great shot on him. Looking forward to watching him develop into a top striker.

He is the reason Shaw was let go, we can only keep so many players, and they will only have so long to make it in our team before the next batch of kids come through.

Hopefully he can grab his chance.

He’s better than Shaw. Best prospect we’ve had in a few years.

Interesting squad---7 loanees, from the Old Firm and Everton...plus 4 Lewis's and one Louis:confused:

I wasn’t a fan of Shaw but I think it’s still a bit early to say that.

At the age Gullan is now, Shaw had done more. Gullan needs to try and get a few starts and goals under his belt between now and the end of this season. He’ll be 21 by the time next season starts so he needs to progress quite quickly now IMO.

He’s bulked up quite a bit since his loan to Raith, and looks a confident lad.

IMO Shaw would’ve been caught and pushed off the ball before even getting that shot away at the weekend.

Gullan definitely has the physical attributes but Shaw was a superb goal scorer in the under 21s and a decent record in the first team. He just did not have the strength. Pity we could not combine the two!
