It’s standard practice to hold off announcing a PATG option until a few days before.
Clubs like to do two things ..
1) get supporters to buy in advance, so they’ve got the cash if they decide not to go
2) have a rough idea of the number of supporters to help with stewarding and stock for catering

It’s very rare that you would be unable to buy a ticket for a game if you wanted to turn up on the day

You can't pay on the day at Parkhead or Ibrox if we have not sold out so thats 4 games a season at least.

I don't read that statement as saying there is PATG but I'd be amazed if there isn't something at the away end.
