Its a 12:15 kick off. No need to go to a pub before this game. Folk must be desperate.

What time you planning on getting there at? Will need to leave Shettleston at about 11.30 to be in your seat at Hampden for 12.15.

Agreed...better looking for a cuppa and a bacon roll. Never understood why desperate alkies need a bevvy before a game.

I will not be surprised by how many people will turn up to this game totally off their faces. Even with a 1215 kickoff. All ready and prepared to start slagging their team off. :greengrin

Not sure about booking a bus in but Alfredos in the city centre opens at 8. HFL will be able to get a bacon roll to go with his pint! 🍺

I've just watched a Hibs v Hearts game sober. Not going through that again 😁

There’s no need for folk to spend their afternoon watching 22 men kick a ball. Like all things it’s a choice. Going for pre match breakfast and a couple of drinks with friends is part of the matchday I look forward to for occasions out of the norm like semi finals etc.

Opens at 11am but there was a bar close by we used for 2016 cup final that was open earlier. I wanted to just leave peebles at 10am I been told unfortunately 🤣

:yawn2:

For other desperado's like myself you've got McKinnons and Whistlin Kirk open at 8am around the Gallowgate area. Alfredo's in the town open at the same time. Vogue Bar in Rutherglen open at 10.

I think the counting house next to queen street station serve alcohol from 9am on a Saturday if you buy something to eat to go with it.

But that's a wetherspoon pub, wouldn't be seen dead in one.

Buses will be leaving early, so by nature fans will be up early on a Saturday morning to get organised and then after the bus trip through many will be more than ready for a couple of pints before the game.

I bet the clubs and pubs nearby will be a bit disappointed with the early KO’s as they won’t present the same opportunity for brisk trade as 3pm or later.

Anyone ever used the 'Spoons at Rutherglen pre Hampden? Open from early, child friendly and looks about 25 min walk away.

Done that before the Falkirk semi. Was chaotic - seemed to be pot luck as to whether you got a pint or not depending on which staff member you got. And then some people weren't getting the alcohol until the food arrived ect.

I recall the Falkirk semi-final. I assume it was a similar lunchtime kick-off. Hibs were one down when this guy arrived really steaming and slagging Hibs off ‘effing and blinding. His mood did not improve then Falkirk scores a second. This all stirred up negativity in the Hibs support. When the third goal went in, him and a large number of others walked out.

That lighted the gloom and, I think, Alex Harris scored and Hibs were on their way to a 4-3 win.

I'd check when they start serving alcohol. All the spoons in Glasgow open at 8 but only a few are aloud or sell you a pint with breakfast.

We were in the spoons next to central station before that game. Had a full breakfast washed down with 2 pints no problem. Can't remember what time we got there at though. Guessing must have been early though as got train from there to kings park and made kick off.

Yep, looks like the Rutherglen one doesn't start serving bevvy until 11.00 sadly.
