Disagree. Life is full of ups and downs. We got beat. Some just cant take it and are acting like spoilt children because things have not went their way.
Yep definitely a question of maturity and the "backbone" that comes with it. When I was a kid I'd be just about greetin' every time Hibs lost a goal - thankfully I've grown out of it.
I've also regularly taken part in high level competition since I was a teenager (and will do again in a couple of weeks - coronavirus permitting). I honestly think this has helped me be more philisophical about results in general - including Hibs.

That really isn't the situation at all. Do you honestly think hibs supporters don't know a thing or two about defeat? Or that you needed to point out that life has ups and downs? Seriously?
You post some rubbish.
I'd say it was capitulation more than defeat. We shouldn't be surprised being hibs fans but on the back of the club promising so much maybe we dared to expect different. As ever the club misfires at exactly the wrong time and spectacularly so. Being angry at that isn't spoilt. It is sheer frustration.
I get people were upset about the result. I was/am too. But crying about it for days and days? Just not for me mate. We have had terrible results against them before, we will again. I just personally think the reaction to this one has been way over the top. It was a bad day at the office. If you think thats posting rubbish then fair enough, couldnt care less to be honest.

Of course mate, when I was a kid Hibs losing was the end of the world. And I particularly couldnt take it when the big bad Hearts fans were taking the mick. I can shrug it off now though. We will have the bragging rights again soon enough. That's how derbys go, especially in recent years where results are very even.
Of course it may also be that real life experiences have made me realise that losing one game is not the end of the world. I probably need a break from the forum though as the constant negativity is not healthy. Passes the time at work though...

Correct. I would have been far more worried or concerned if we had played well and lost. A collective bad shift at worst time.
