Seriously, is he carrying an injury or is his head simply not at Hibs and is elsewhere? He’s been a shadow of the player he was in his 1st spell last season.

I’d love for this thread to be bumped after the Aberdeen game or any other game that comes and he ends up proving me wrong but my God, he’s been awful.

He was poor towards the end of his last spell and BSC Glasgow looks a out his level right now.

Absolutely garbage, offers the square root of nothing.

As usual most of our recruitment revolved around players who were previously here, rather than players we actually needed.

I was impressed initially last time, the way I remember it and may be wrong is him missing a sitter for Scotland and then the goals dried up.

Not happy with him standing on another players back like that tonight (even a Jambo!) Don’t like to see anyone do stuff like that but even worse when it’s one of ours! It could and should’ve seen us down to ten men which, in hindsight, couldn’t have made us much worse tonight

Can’t argue with that either. I genuinely can’t think of one Hibs player tonight that you can say, he actually played as if he wanted to win this game as much as the fans did.

His best work since coming back has been defensive.
He has made little impression in an attacking sense and that is where he needs to shine.
Not an easy role but that's why he is paid the big bucks.
Failed at Reading, failed at Sunderland and now failing at Hibs and in real danger of being replaced by young Gullan, a guy on a tenth of his wage.

He can go for the stamp alone. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from him and something I loathe to see at Hibs and thankfully it’s not something we see all that often.

Add in his absolute powderpuff performances and general look of being unfit and moving like it he’s no where near the level required for a team that wants to chase for Europe. I genuinely do not see what he brings to our team and if he was at any other team in this division they’d probably have binned him to the bench by now.

His stamp was shameful. Hibs performance was shameful. What effort are you seeing as well? At stages of tonight's game I genuinely forgot he was playing. Same goes for Scott Allan to be fair to McNulty. However, the fact remains Gullan did more when he was on - a youngster thrown in at the deep end. I think Gullan had more touches in 5mins than McNulty had in 60mins.

His stamp was disgraceful, but so was the service he was receiving from the non existent midfield. Still kept showing for the ball & never hid. To many players poor tonight, but zero creativity from midfield the reason for lack of chances tonight.

He is a decent player that isn't playing well. Some of his stuff has been good pass to Allan on Friday but doesn't look that sharp and link up with Doidge needs a lot of work imo. He was showing for the ball but our centre backs decided to knock it long.

He is still a better bet than Hunberi. But I agree he needs to show a lot more than he has done so far (BSC excepted) to deserve a permanent deal. Waste of a jersey last night and will surely get a wee holiday for standing on Clare. I emphasise standing, not stamping. There wasn't excessive force. It was the sort of thing that happens multiple times in any one game of rugby, sometimes from your own player, without the recipient rolling around like they've got a fractured spine.

Totally out of order stamping on someone’s spine. Hope we never see him in a Hibs shirt again.

And incidentally, in the cold light of morning I probably wouldn’t call him a rat but he shouldn’t appear for us again.

Spine? Back more like. Incredibly stupid and no idea why he didn't get a red last night.

I think marc needs to find his magic, needs to put down some roots at a club rather farmed out here and there,if reading are willing to release the boy fair enough ,if not we must move on too in the summer, don't want to spend the next transfer window hankering for players who were on loan, although I would like the idea of omeonga signing permanent now rather than later.

He’s absolutely ****ing rotten. Get him out the team and don’t sign him permanently. Gullan needs to start at the weekend.

I suspect he will find himself dropping down the leagues very quickly at the current rate.

He was cheaper than spending the cash to get Nisbet but it looks like it may be a decision that costs us more in the long run.

Imagine the uproar if we’d signed an unknown player with 18 months of decent stats behind him rather than a proven premiership goal scorer?

You’d have had a field day..

Some of the personal comments on here are embarrassing.

He couldn't lace kamberi's boots unfortunately.
Well someone needs to 'cos he kept tripping over them. Maybe the Huns have bought him some velcro straps.

The lack of balanced analysis on this thread is embarrassing ..McNulty was no worse than any player last night - outside of his poor choice on the challenge with Clare ..

His work rate and movement has largely been effective since he came - and I guarantee Doidge , Allan etc much prefer to play with him than Kamberi .

Some Of the personal critical language about one of our own players is appalling ..this thread shows some Hibs fans at our worst ...

This thread is a ****ing disgrace for large parts. An utter disgrace and more than a couple of posters need to take a look at themselves.

I am raging after last night and no way is any player or the club as a whole above criticism. Some of the language used on this thread to describe a Hibs player is despicable though. Does McNulty deserve to be dropped? Yes, absolutely. Does he deserve some of the personal abuse being aimed at him for a bad performance and a moment of madness? That's for others to decide themselves but I'm almost ashamed to be partly responsible for providing a platform for it.

I've just gone through the thread and deleted some of the vitriol along with some quoted posts.

I'm not for a minute saying players can't be criticised on here but some people could do well with engaging their brains before typing something up on here.

If that upsets anyone too bad.

Thread closed.
We have deleted posts referring to Hearts fans as vermin etc in the past and will continue to do so. We can leave the dehumanising stuff to other sites. It beggars belief that some fans think it's OK to direct such language towards our own players. Of course players should be criticised when their standards drop but using terms like 'rat' etc to describe one of our own is not acceptable here. We do realise that the vast majority here can get their point across without vitriol so there is no reason why we all can't.
As an aside, if you do use dehumanising language then it's a bit rich to come bleating to us because people have responded to your comment in kind. if you find something directed at yourself intolerable then maybe you should be deleting your own comment as well instead of leaving it to us to clean the mess up. We are supposed to be adults here.
