What out for the roadworks Jocks Lodge/Willowbrae/Meadowbank- pain during non-peak

From our judo club at St Margaret’s House

As of today (3rd March) there’s new road works and road closures around the club. Willowbrae Road and Restalrig Road South are closed.

Over the course of the coming weeks the works may change but please be aware that travel time to judo is very likely to increase. The disruptions may go on for some weeks!


Please give some extra time for travel but please don't worry if you are late for class, make sure your child is aware than being late isn't a problem at all.

"Portobello Road / Jock's Lodge resurfacing...

Temporary lights at Northfield Broadway 7pm Friday 28th until 7am Saturday 29th.

From Tuesday 3rd March -
Temporary lights at Jock's Lodge junction,
Restalrig Road South (Smokey Brae) closed and
Willowbrae Road closed southbound.

Expected for 4-5 weeks."

So roadworks are planned to start on same day as the Derby, honestly couldn't make that up.

Heard them say it on the radio earlier - nightmare. There’s more set of roadworks in the town than there are workies working on them just now.

Great, more new road surfaces made out of sponge that will break up in less time than it takes them to do the job.
