Quarter final replay for them due to be Wednesday the 4th of March if the two sides draw on Saturday. Which would mean the derby getting postponed at 3 days notice... Perplexing. I always wish for a draw when those two play each other, but I don’t think I can this time round

Would love a replay in that case - I'm struggling to make it for Tuesday so if it was shifted it would be a bonus from a purely selfish point of view.

This could be a disaster. Hoping whatever happens on Saturday that one team wins on the day.

Who organises this ****.

- national team declined fixture workaround before the biggest game for Scotland in years
- rangers now struggling to complete their fixtures prior to the top6 split
- a sell out derby game potentially being rescheduled 2 days prior
- 8 games in 24 days prior to the winter break
- 8 games in 24 days after the winter break
- 3/4 weeks at a time without a game at ER over September/ October/ November with national team fixtures

shambles.

Hearts are going to be knackered if that happens. Our match on the Tuesday is a contracted TV match already moved at their insistence. Although SFA have announced it the SPFL has not acknowledged it. Time to scrap the winter break

Agreed, I can only guess that it was dependent on Rangers’ progress in the Europa League

Time to bin the winter break. Schedule more midweek games early in the season.

Most people will have made plans to attend the game already and it's pretty short notice if it's cancelled on Saturday night...

The criticism was about information regarding our replay, not Hearts/Huns.

I assume as well, for a derby that has been scheduled to be on the Tuesday night for TV since late November, quite a few fans will have made travel plans from long distances.

It’s a shame, but like people have said the winter break really doesn’t help. Hope it gets scrapped soon

Honestly hope Hearts pump they ****s the morn

Also UEFA’s greed at fault here to be fair, they’re holding a monopoly over available midweeks at this point of the season. It’s already made England scrap their replays for their FA Cup’s quarter final

In what world is that the correct stance to take apart from our joke of a setup where it is a pissing contest between 2 of the most inept organisations in world football. Its time the fans were made priority.

Given Hearts have to rearrange the st Mirren game too, the more upheaval, the more likely they are to get relegated.

Come on the draw.

And that would mean Hearts’ game against St Mirren on the Wednesday being moved, or alternatively us playing Hearts on the 17th/18th

Wouldn’t be on the tele in that case due to it clashing with UEFA

It's allowed on the telly because it was already scheduled to be on the telly. That's how sky got around showing the city game last week anyways.

That's the replay against Inverness not Hearts.

It's time to cancel the winter break as it causes more issues that it solves, we end up having to play so many midweek games from December onwards because of it and it becomes seriously ****** up if teams progress in Europe or cup replays.

In the (admittedly unlikely) scenario that both Hibs and Hearts have replays, then why not play ours on Tuesday, seeing as we'll suddenly have the night free?

The difference is they are more than likely to do it for an English game than a Scottish game.

If the derby was to be postponed, think they’ll earliest date it could be played is midweek of w/c 16th March or w/c 6th April

On the plus side they could be closer to relegation if the game is played later which would mean a win for us against them could be even more damaging for them.

I don't think that's right. St Mirren v Hearts rescheduled is no longer on TV due to UEFA games. I think the English teams got a special exemption.

Interesting point.

Going to be close at the tiny library.

Huns just back from a Euro trip - possible fatigue - but surely the yams priority is to stay in the league so wonder what their line up will be. Probably best 11 they have but wouldn’t surprise me if they rested players for Tuesday.

Was BT due to show it? Maybe they won't because they have rights to UEFA games. SKY showing it wouldn't effect sky figures. They defo said SKY were showing the game on a European night cause it was already scheduled to be on the telly. Think BT tried to stop it but we're told nothing they can do.

Hearts will want this settled at the first asking one way or another. A draw and then beat in the replay would be 180 minutes of distraction from their real target.
