Any sense that this is going to be kick started by investment into the budget?
That’s key because growing the income is very challenging otherwise.
It’s hinted at here between 2:25-2:45

I think so. In the Hibs TV interview he said he's going to invest. He only said it once and briefly but it made my ears prick up.
I thought I heard him say that. As you say it was a brief statement.

Absolutely buzzing.
Everything is in place to now properly solidify ourselves as top dogs in Edinburgh.
How can you be a big team if you’ve no even got a big screen :greengrin
On a serious note these plans will hopefully convince anyone who was even swithering about renewing next year. Personally can’t wait.

I'm solo clapping at my screen and shedding tears as I read this thread in my room. Does that count?

Any indication of where the screen is gonny be?
The photo they showed, had it above the current Carling advert in the corner between the East and the South.
The other photo they used had digital screens of the inside of the East, from bottom to top( Full side section) with THIS IS EASTER ROAD, on it.
Looked good.

Don't want to wade through 9 pages so in short what is it everyone is happy about in regards to RG vision for the club ? What did he say ?In the first instance he's going to change the pa system, put in a big screen, bring the pie stands back under direct control, start tarting up ER & continue to invest in the team.
He's looking to add roughly 4k ST holders, double turnover within 5 years and vastly increase the player budget.
He's going to make more of the club's history, uniqueness and place in the community.
He wants to make going to a match much more of an event.
Apart from that, nothing much.

I’d like to know if our prospective links to other clubs might include something with Ajax to learn how to develop youngsters etc.? It’ll be interesting to find out what these links are (if they come to fruition). Having a very promising youth graduate most seasons is critical to this club vision in my opinion. We should be loaning youth players to other countries as well (with support in place for them).
I’m sure this has been discussed but having local players coming through ranks add an extra dynamic to the support and if sold on adds value back into club (likely with profit).

This was a common theme through his presentation. He used the word 'humble' and talked about our beginnings, the reason the club was set up etc. I lost count of the times he mentioned the word 'community'.
He clearly thinks the club has been selling itself short and has beefed up commercial/marketing activities. Can't disagree with that.
In my working life I've attended so many fancy, glitzy presentations over the years and Ron's was certainly delivered impeccably and up there with the best I've seen. What struck me though is that he was believable. He's taken his time and has undertaken a thorough examination on how the club is performing, and has spotted weaknesses. He has some ambitious plans but I would say he has the passion and drive to deliver them.
Exciting times ahead for Hibs I think.

Its a very easy club to fall in love with. It’s got a special legacy. Hibs makes an incredible difference in people’s lives. It’s a club that has so much emotion. I feel incredibly blessed to be here.
What support might be given to Hibs Ladies?
Its at the forefront of our thinking. It’s got to be part of the club, but it’s a question of timing and what resources are put in. We’ll see a transition soon.
LG - we need to make sure we don’t over promise and we do it at the right time for them and us. Strong relationship already

Well that can only be described as 100% positive.
I am sure he/ his team can deliver on the match day experience/ brand/ catering/ partnerships etc and the detail, passion and thought is clearly excellent. The Scottish football experience hasn't changed much, outside all seating, in a hundred years and some of these ideas, while not rocket science, are probably way ahead of most of our competition. The challenge is delivery because ultimately it is the first team that matters. Bottom line I am sure we will have our ups and downs but this is a good plan and he seems a genuine, decent and intelligent guy.

Just got back in after what was a really interesting evening. It’s easy to see now that there’s going to be some big changes going forward.
Ron came across really well, his enthusiasm shone through when he spoke. The only time I thought he struggled a little was when answering the questions around HSL, but that may just have been my interpretation of it.
The key things I took out it were:
- Theres some pretty ambitious targets in terms of revenue generation, season tickets and attendances
- The player budget will increase over the coming years
- A huge focus is going to be put on the ‘match day experience’ which look likes hey aim to make more Americanised
- The catering offer is coming back in house
- Pricing changes for seating will happen. If you’re in the best seats, you’re going to pay more for the priviledge
- Hibs Ladies will be integrated into the club again in the future
- They want to move the singing section, with the East the most likely destination
Hopefully the updates were useful, I might have missed some stuff but there were more than enough people there tonight that can fill in the gaps :greengrin

The photo they showed, had it above the current Carling advert in the corner between the East and the South.
The other photo they used had digital screens of the inside of the East, from bottom to top( Full side section) with THIS IS EASTER ROAD, on it.
Looked good.
I don't think the 'this is Easter road' one was digital screen, I think it was just branding

The most positive and ambitious stuff I’ve ever heard out of Hibs. That’s not saying much to be fair but this all sounds great. The match day/stadium stuff is much needed, ER is looking a bit tired and glitzing it up will bring in better commercial revenue. If he can double our playing budget that will be huge.

If they could sort the singing section future location we could be on to a real winner.
Interested to see the pricing for STs and how they do it - I know some fans are against it but if we want to make more money and develop as a club maybe a necessity. Some fans will happily pay more for a good seat rather than give money in other ways.
Changing the price structure of seats would mean a lot of upheaval possibly but simply over time it will sort itself out and ideally we have a full ER.

In a roundabout way though increasing electrics at the stadium isn’t very environmentally friendly but the stadium needs serious work.

I think it was probably Mikel Miller, in the context of of him being in Scotland and us trying to get talent based here rather than him actually being Scottish by birth.
I also like the fact that he said we went over our budget in January because the right opportunity became available.

Changing the price structure of seats would mean a lot of upheaval possibly but simply over time it will sort itself out and ideally we have a full ER.I posted this on another thread. At Rennes there are loads of different price bands, with adult STs ranging from 169€ to 775€, basically 4 times the price.

Are there any plans to mark STFs time with Hibs?
We have a responsibility to recognise his time with us. Have thought about some pint next year we will have a chance to honour and thank him
Smaller but better squad, we’ve heard it before. Can we get commitment we will get away from that type of signing?
GM - Jason Naismith playing well but got injured. In terms of short term some were brought in to cover short term injuries. It is something we want to do - we want to sign players on a permanent basis. Tried to reduce the age balance in the squad. Some worked, some have now come good, some left. I think our hit rate is better than others in our budget and marketplace
Yeah, buy him a pint or two, that ought to do it. :greengrin

Lots of positives from the video and by the sounds of it, the AGM. I’m an auld git when it comes to all the ‘match day experience’ guff but I know from my bairns that expectations are far higher than mine were at their age. I was delighted when they put a roof on the East!
The Increase in ST sales seems really ambitious. Is it achievable? A big hurdle must be that a lot of potential new ST holders would want to sit beside existing ST holding friends/family. How can this be achieved? It annoys me that apart from OF and Hearts games, their are always a few empty seats around me that are ST holders.

Q - opinion on singing section? know they tried to go into lower FF for inverness game. And safe standing thoughts
RG - big supporter of singing section. Not in the right place but all kind of consequences.
LD - great relationship with singing section. Tried to find new home. FF upper not worked. Desire to get in lower but difficult as displacing people. Will include safe standing if there’s a desire.
Q - why no longer approving transfer of shares to HSL
RG - change allocation of shares that what was agreed. I agreed to 2 further transactions before closed deal but happy with where shares are. Maybe in future need to raise capital.
Q - season tickets, considering cup top up?
LD - looking at several things but haven’t discussed that. (LD explains to RG what a cup top up is). Open minded. Thanks for reminding me.
Q - HSL not been a great attraction. Another scheme?
RG - need engagement with fans and will speak with HSL.
LD - appreciate what HSL does. But look at competition and what they’re doing regarding revenue
Q - considering bringing back a lottery?
LD - in radar
Q - do you anticipate using American expertise/contacts?
RG - open to it. Question would be if commercial reason for them doing it. Spent lot of time speaking to leaders in sports/entertainment over last year. Love to go on sales calls
Q - HSL. Consider giving seat on board?
RG - part of the conversation with HSL
discuss what we’re going to do together going forward.
Q - glad to see you’ve taken an interest in history. Any plans to commemorate tom farmer
A - responsibility to honour sir Tom. Haven’t thought about naming a stand but thought about celebrating/ recognising him at some point next season.
Q - smaller but better squad. Heard that mantra before. Short term fixes. Rherras, eckersley, Nelom, Mavrias
GM - Jason naismith good example. Mentioned some names I don’t want on my cv. But where short term cover.
Summer recruitment - wanted perm players. Not all worked. Some have improved since JR came in. Wanted to reduce age balance and get greater control of contracts. Presenting plan on Friday to Ron and Leann. Hit rate better than others in our market place.
Comment - like the focus on season ticket holders. Great we’re getting focus again
Q - what was motivation to buy HIBS
A - love football. Game I grew up with. Couple of reasons why HIBS. Easy club to fall in love with. Amazing fanbase. Succesful in business because I made it more than making money. HIBS hugely important in peoples lives. Feel very privileged and blessed. A lot of work. Looking for the right opportuniti and this one has an incredible soul.
Q - brief comment on women’s football. What support will be given.
RG - forefront of our thinking. Got to be part of the club. Will work our what kind of resources to put behind it. Question of how and the timing.
LD - women’s team already integrated with club. Don’t want to over promise. Fantastic relationship between club and women’s team

I thought it was spot on. Not going to lie, a revamped Easter Road, lot up from the outside with the big screen inside etc, better sound system and so on, with a great team on the pitch, is doing a lot for me.
I loved the optimism and ambition behind it, the fact that there were some really strong core values about Hibs' role in the community and our traditions, and a sense that there is massive opportunity and untapped potential there waiting to be taken advantage of is really exciting.
The support wanted a plan that we could all buy into -I honestly think this is it.
Commercially, if we want to be the go-to club for sponsors, the things Hibs are planning will make it the easiest choice going.
Hibs have made sure the supporters are taken care of as well, I think they hit the mark on so many levels tonight with that plan.

The new Gold, Silver, and Bronze pricing structure will have some effect in moving people around the stadium.

What should they do about that?
Refresh the girls academy with a senior coach who has a real understanding of all levels. Joelle is a great figure head but if you arent taking in the training and games you have no idea of the issues until its too late.... results this season will show that. Glasgow City have a guy involved at all levels and he appears at everything including national trials and games. He doesnt coach any of the teams but runs their academy from top to bottom.

That was a really interesting evening. I have to say Ron Gordon's presentation was delivered with consummate professionalism and not a little humour, his enthusiasm was clear, so fair play to him.
Some of the ambitions were for me at the extreme end of what Hibs could look to be achieving in the short time periods mentioned. Doubling the playing budget in 3 years or less is one hell of a goal, if we did that we would easily be a match for, in fact some way ahead of, Aberdeen and Hearts. Also the ambitions for season ticket sales. Given that currently its clear to see loads of folk who do have STs aren't turning up, adding another 4,000 onto the 13,000 we have currently within 3 seasons seems like a tough ask bordering on unrealistic .... in all honesty I would be beside myself if we matched this seasons next season and for the following two or three.
The only time I thought RG was uncomfortable with a question was the transfer of individual shares to HSL one. He was a tad evasive to say the least, but its pretty clear to me that his unspoken answer was 'I'm not going to allow HSL to reach the numbers required to be entitled to an automatic seat on the board' ...end of discussion.
I moaned about squeezing the fans dry prior to the AGM ..... But a fans contribution scheme similar to AberDNA or even FOH sits fine with me as part of an overall commercial strategy. I would like to think the club and HSL can come together and transform HSL from a share buying vehicle to something along those lines, with a re launch and re branding of the name to something a little less dry. Ron didn't appear to be totally against allowing an HSL presence on the board, so perhaps that would allow for one with a purpose to it.
All the stuff relating to changes to the stadium with a big screen and possible bars in the east and south are nothing but positives in my opinion, making ER a brighter and cheerier place to be on a Saturday can only be a good thing .... The guy who moaned about the big screen displayed exactly the sort of blinkered thinking which if copied by an owner would only stop us from progressing long term.
Overall the vibes are positive after that meeting .... how close we come to delivering the ambitions and goals should be very interesting, but to my mind one thing is clear, the non football sourcing of income is going to have to be supported by a fair amount of on field success in the next 5 years ... IE regular European football, top 4 finishes and cup semi finals and hopefully a final or two ... because without the income and fan interest these things bring the outside income on its own wont be enough IMO.
BTW ... Dunno who asked the Docherty v Kamberi question, but for me it was by far the best question of the evening

He's bang on ... that game at Hampden was 30 years ago and it's time we moved on. By all means keep the ban in Glasgow, but Scotland's other clubs shouldn't have to pay for their mess in perpetuity. I personally couldn't care less if I can get a drink inside ER during a game or at half time, but that doesn't mean I want to see Hibs denied a possible source of income which other sports, notably rugby in this very city, enjoy.

It was I who bemoaned the tv albeit in an incoherent ramble. I'm blinkered because I would rather see the money spent on team than a screen? It's all very glitz and glammer. We seem to be forgetting we are a football club first and foremost?
If the screen is used for marketing activity and sponsorship then all well and good, however, why did we forego a shirt sponsor in summer?
My feeling has always been build a team and people will watch, it's not a new science. I also don't know how we will double turnover by 2025. It's going to take much more sponsorship and marketing opportunities to fill the void that season ticket sales alone can fill
Interesting times ahead, but I'm not popping on the party hat just yet

In order to fund the team on the park, we need to raise the income. With an average crowd of c18k, there’s not that much more scope to do that unless we hike prices, so the other way to do it is through sponsorship, corporate income and getting the people who are coming to games to spend more by having a better offer at the kiosks etc. That in turn let’s them spend more on putting a better team on the park so we can qualify for the latter stages of cups and get into Europe regularly and get the financial rewards that come with that.
I thought it was pretty clear last night that that’s the way they’re going to double turnover?
If spending on a giant TV screen stops us funding one player for one season, but it helps bring in sponsorship and cash that lets us fund one player every season after that then it’s a no brainer.
Peevemor

Bringing the "kiosk" operation in-house will immediately increase the turnover (& maybe a wee bit of profit). I don't know what the average spend is, but say 5k fans spend £5 each per match, that's about £0.5m per season.

Sounded to me like the big screen will be part of the “big production” he spoke of. It will all be part of the match day experience, enhanced by the new sound system. I imagine we will get a mix of pre match build up, old match highlights, Hibs product advertising and future events, all interspersed with fundraising advertising. A bit like the cinema to be fair.
Well delivered, I think it will help build that atmosphere that we all hope will be present at every game. It will all be on the delivery but I don’t think you will be disappointed.
I was in Las Vegas for one of the Connor McGregor fights and it certainly got people whipped up there. So if it brings in revenue and helps with atmosphere it all sounds good. Was was particularly impressed at how much interest Ron Gordon has clearly taken in comments on Fans Forums.
He was very entertaining, lampooning the use of terms aimed at home, like “the invisible man”. He certainly showed last night that he has been anything but inactive these past months.
His comments about the pies and the contrast between why he was told by STF and what he read on forums was priceless.
And his impersonation of the current sound system was one of the highlights of the evening.
I think we are in for an interesting ride with RG at the helm. I sincerely hope he can deliver on the vision and take the club forward. He may find that Scots people, especially the east coast version, can be a little reserved when it comes to the razzmatazz but if we can just hook in to a little of Ron’s enthusiasm, I think we will progress in giant steps.

The license for the stadium won’t include the concourse areas at present, and any change would need to go through a full new licensing application.
What I don’t necessarily understand is why we’ve not put in no alcohol beer as an option so far. Some of the products that are available now, including on draught, are practically indistinguishable from the real stuff.

I would be surprised if there was a loophole to that extent of being able to sell under the stands. Can remember having a beer down south a few years back and was good and relaxed with fans having a quiet beer before or at half time. I think it should be done and see absolutely no reason why it can't happen here if it can happen down south where supporter behaviour is equally good or bad as here. Even start off with all other games bar obvious derbies to see how it goes and then include them at later date or not at all if too much of a risk. We should be able to generate income in this way and one or two numpties should not be used as an excuse not to allow it.

I think the idea that selling alcohol at the football would add to trouble is not really understanding what actually happens before a game.
People see there’s not long until kick off and knowing they can’t get a drink in the ground folk have to start chucking the bevy back much faster than they normally would, then there’s the transitions to shots/shorts to squeeze as much in as possible, on top of that people then bring in much stronger alcohol as they’re not going to get away with carrying in a bag of cans.
Selling some not particularly strong lager at the ground would just change peoples behaviours imo, it’s not going to get folk as smashed as sneaking in a quarter bottle of vodka either.

Folk think it would mean fans sitting bevvying in their seats throughout the match. All that would happen is folk would maybe head to the game to that wee bit sooner, get their last pint in the ground before heading up to their seat and then maybe get one at half time if they fancy it. That’s it. Doing that would make no difference to fan behaviour imo
I had a beer a few years ago down at Man U for a European game, you were not allowed to take it back to your seat and they stopped selling during game play, it worked perfectly well.

That would be quite interesting. I’ll be honest and say I probably wouldn’t bother with a non alcoholic beer but it would be an interesting route to go down.

An outstanding AGM soaked in ambition. Ron has been very hard at work - looks like he has covered all possible revenue areas and recognises that we have been underperforming for some time.
Ron comes across as a genuinely likeable football fan who is thankful for the opportunity to own our club and drive it forward. He is a smart guy and ultimately a businessman, so I am very comfortable with his demands to drive us upward as a sustainable business.
The improvements to the match day experience is a pretty big one. Anyone who has witnessed sports in America with the big screens and booming sound systems will know it really does crank up the atmosphere when used properly.
We are in a very strong position as a club following the events of 2016. Ron has come in at the perfect time to capitalise on our current stock and move us onto a new level for good. Exciting times ahead.

I think that's the main reason - not so much to do with the beer itself, but everything to do with getting supporters into the ground, enjoying the "matchday experience" and, above all, spending money well before kick-off.

Maybe we never got a sponsor because all we could offer them was their name on the shirt and modern corporate sponsorship has moved on?
If we keep doing what we have always done then where are we going to progress?

This is a turn in a different direction for the club, a bit of speculation to accumulate. Remember when we were told this was not the right way to run a football club.
Money will be spent on the team that has to come from Ron, and he will also spend on the screens and ribbons, with I’d imagine getting it back through increased advertising and crowds.
Im a little sceptical at the timeframes, but also excited that we have someone in charge who sees us more than just something that does well to exist.
Might need to sign Liam Henderson to deliver on some of these targets, but here’s hoping Ron. :gwa::top marks

I had a beer at Old Trafford on Sunday past. It was a plastic bottle of Heineken and it cost £5.
At Villa Park the previous week, the same thing cost £4.50.
Add in the fact that alcohol isn't allowed in the stands and it's clear that no-one is going to be getting drunk if the kiosks are licensed.

Bringing the "kiosk" operation in-house will immediately increase the turnover (& maybe a wee bit of profit). I don't know what the average spend is, but say 5k fans spend £5 each per match, that's about £0.5m per season.
At the moment I‘ll go to Easter Road a minimum of 20 times per season, probably closer to 25 all told. The only money I spend on those visits is the price of a ticket either through my ST or cup tickets. This isn’t because I’m right or can’t afford anything more but because what’s in offer in the kiosks and the shop is generally poor. Even when I’m in a rush or hungover and needs must I’ll rarely get a Pie because I’m not one to carry cash and there is no contactless facilities. I’ve also never had any inclination to take up hospitality for what is essentially at present an average meal, poor service and slightly comfier seat.
I’d say I spend an average £20 on food and drink pre/post match at other establishments. If Hibs get these changes to the kiosks and hospitality right and they get me to spend even just half that amount at Easter Road rather than elsewhere that’s an extra £250-400 per season from me.

Why don't they trial alcohol at a few 'low risk' matches over the next couple of seasons? Is it suddenly going to kick off at a Hibs v Ross County game because a couple of thousand people have had a flat overpriced beer?
If fans prove they can be trusted to behave and self police and clubs prove they can control things then roll it out to all but the real powder keg games. Throwing more alcohol into the mix at a Hibs v Rangers game is probably not a great idea. For your run of the mill league fixture I'd wager you would notice absolutely no difference in people's behaviour.

Its not exactly rocket science eh. This is Police Scotland and the SNP we're talking about however...
In Germany generally the home fans can bevvy for every match. Away fans who have been on their buses or trains for 5 hrs and its a 5.30pm kick-off etc its alcoholfree.
In Scotland I think the only fixtures that wouldn't be allowed are Rangers v Celtic, Rangers v Hibs, Celtic v Hearts and Hibs v Hearts and the return legs of those games. Any other games i think would be sound. Trial it in the concourses and try the English model first then take it from there.
Mental you can goto the Hydro for the boxing on a Saturday at 10pm full of drink then skull 4 pints while you're in there. However St Mirren v Rangers or Hibs v Livingston would turn into a bloodbath :cb

Alcohol is allowed in hospitality areas. I wonder how that’s worded and if there could be some imaginative way to have some form of ‘hospitality’ in the concourse areas which includes ability to buy beer?
The bar areas at Celtic Park are huge now, with music before and after games and games shown on the TV encouraging people to arrive early and / or stay on later. Hospitality has to be more flexible than an overpriced three course dinner and a handshake with a former player.
Bearded guys selling ‘artisanal’ sausage rolls & sourdough sandwiches should be a major step up in quality and might add a few extra quid.
Now get on the phone to Volvo and talk sustainability, community, blah, blah and we have a prestige sponsor and a new electric car for Jack Ross...
It’ won’t be plain sailing but it’s important to have a vision and the ambition is energising.

As much as I’m part of the clubs governance structure the club has been great at listening to any feedback or direct verbatim I’ve passed over - they won’t always do everything but it certainly helps the bigger picture as we’ve heard tonight.

I’d be happy to see nets go up to be honest.
I know this will be unpopular but it would enable the club to allow refillable bottles for water -which lots of are metal- into the ground.
So it would prevent any danger from them. As well as the glass bottles that have become a big favourite of the tools recently

Reading FC have done that with a local vendor - they've set up a wee fan area outside the ground with various kiosks serving beer and ethnic street food including a Peruvian one which sells (amongst other things) Peruvian ox heart. It's well reviewed but my digestive system tends to send offal out through the in door so I haven't risked it. Their chicken skewers are brilliant though.

When I got home last night and read this thread the one question I wish I had thought to ask Ron Gordon was what he thought of the idea of summer football.
The idea here is clearly to ramp up the razzmatazz at Hibs games, making the whole thing more of an event and not just a 90 minute experience. We have access to two large outdoor areas at ER behind the east and west stands which would be ideal for pre match alfresco pints and stuff for the kids if the weather was better.
Perhaps the one great benefit of having an American raised owner is that he will finally drag at least this Scottish football club kicking and screaming into the 21st century. If there's one thing they recognise it's that customer is king and that the main event, as I said, is just part of the experience, not the beginning and end of it. His idea that fans should still be hanging around the stadium after full time able to watch TV games in a bar at the ground was significant .... It's the supermarket scenario, in that there's a reason you have to go to the back of any store to buy essentials like milk and sugar. The longer you keep folk in the shop the more they will spend.

True. However, football fans in England misbehave and throw objects on to the pitch. You can get a pint at Millwall v West Ham but not Hibs v Inverness. It’s ludicrous. When that nutter attacked Grealish last season folk weren’t advocating banning booze from English grounds. It’s double standards.

The commercially terminal operations that laughably call themselves newspapers in Scotland wouldn't recognise a good business story in front of their own eyes. In lieu of serious journalism they default to the lowest common denominator which invariably means pandering to the prevailing establishment - the ugly sisters in football and beyond that whatever is the prevailing political orthodoxy. My take on the plan to upgrade the lighting was that we will be improving the lighting on the outside of the stadium rather than the inside; lighting up the stadium as a beacon and an iconic landmark, and the mock up picture certainly implied that too. I'm not sure there will be celtic style disco lights.

Living in Perth, Australia our local ground is Optus Stadium with a capacity just over 60,000
There are 3 main levels and each level has numerous bars and fast food outlets all around the ground and just about everyone is cashless which makes for very quick service. Beer is available in trays of up to 4 pints which can be poured all at the same time. Both the bars and food outlets are busy before and during the game. Food is burgers, fish, pizza, chips, beef rolls etc which are made in bulk during play so there are plenty ready for the rush. There are merchandise shops on each level which sell mainly home merchandise but also gear for the away fans.. TV’s showing the game are all close to the bars and food so you can go anytime without missing part of the game. There are 2 huge screens at each end of the ground which shows the game, handy for us who don’t have a young set of eyes for watching play at the other end of the ground. There are competitions at half time which is really nothing more than major companies giving out decent prizes in return for advertising their products.
I guess I spend the admission cost again on beers, snacks etc at minimum so effectively doubling the money I pass through the gate.

For your run of the mill league fixture I'd wager you would notice absolutely no difference in people's behaviour.
Alcohol at games in general is a great idea but won't happen. Reason being Celtic and Rangers. Yes we have an unsavoury element to our crowd however this only comes to the fore when either (generally Rangers) of these teams come to town.

You’ve pretty much described my dad and his mates. They also get to their seats around 3.07.

My take on the plan to upgrade the lighting was that we will be improving the lighting on the outside of the stadium rather than the inside; lighting up the stadium as a beacon and an iconic landmark, and the mock up picture certainly implied that too. I'm not sure there will be celtic style disco lights.
Thought that caption on the big screen looked brilliant, along with the caption :
" SO WITH THE DARKEST DAYS BEHIND
OUR SHIP OF HOPE WILL STEER
AND WHEN IN DOUBT JUST KEEP IN MIND
OUR MOTTO PERSEVERE "
I'm not sure that English football serving alcohol has anything to do with the discussion in Scotland, licensing is purely down to the various Scottish agencies which is effectively the Scottish Government. They continue to treat the population here as children in so many areas, the consumption of alcohol being only one. I suggest you direct your questions to them.

KP, your role in communicating to the board on a wide range of topics that are discussed on sites like this one, is a big part of the good comms.
I wanted to shake your hand last night at the AGM for the good job you're doing, but you were busy chatting.
You've been great in your role as fans rep bud, keep it up 👍

🤝 Apologies for not getting round to that. I get too involved talking about Hibs on the pitch, especially with the next two fixtures coming up.

Going to the cricket I used to spend a lot more than the ticket price inside the ground.[emoji6] I think people here don’t realise how much revenue Scottish football seems to turn its nose up at.

Kieran is there any chance you could get the club to share the mock-ups of the big screen etc or is that something they are planning on further down the line anyway?

I was at an Oilers game in Edmonton a few weeks back---the concourse looks like a shopping mall and there are dozens of food/beer/shopping places

✅ I'll see if I’ve got this and if I do can I share it now.
Of course, just mock ups and not the full architect spec or what is planned.

What is the actual ruling around alcohol at games? You can drink in hospitality and behind the goals bar before the game. Could we explore the option to extend this to opening the gates earlier and having a bar in each stand, like behind the goals and stop serving at kick off while the debate around drinking during the game takes place? Or is it more complex than that?
Hopefully we could also replace Carling with something that is actually nice too :greengrin

After reading the updates, watching the video, reading the reports and then mulling it over I think all of that is positive and am feeling pretty good about everything Hibs at the moment. One thing though does anyone know of Ron ran all of this past the genius that is Anne Budge?

Could the simple solution for alcohol at the ground be a bar attached to back of the East for example where fans aren’t able to take the alcohol into the concourse but it’s pretty much the same thing.
I would definitely stay around the ground longer..at the start and end if more was on offer..the East Stand concourse is just a cold shell so not much entices you’re to stay.
Hopefully they improve the TV screens under the stands too.
Why isn’t the game live on these screens ? It used to be years ago.
Hand sanitiser (corona virus) also needs to be added to the toilets especially with no hot water.
I hoe they add a simple pie / tea / coffee stall to the catering and ideally some healthy food as an option. Again I would spend more if this was available.
Finally do they plan to make the FF and South advertising boards electronic ? Hopefully and hopefully an upgrade of the score board / or will this go with a new screen ?!
Was the new season ticket video released last night at the AGM ?

It wasn't meant to be. Ron discussed the offering to fans via the kiosks last night, and when they come back in house we'll be offering more than just pies. He actually name checked, la favourita. I'm sure you'll see more "partners" getting their chance.

I don't think they are looking at that, think its more like external lighting on the stadium to make it stand out or look more interesting.
Celtic's disco lights look pretty naff for something that cost £2m+ to have installed as well.
