Up at 4am to watch in the Philippines. On family trip to city in the mountains - 5,000 feet up. Temperatures will be 24/14. Everybody taking jumpers and trousers. I will still be in shorts and T shirt. Luckily all are heavy sleepers. Come on the Hibs.

Snap. While it is great fun laughing at Hearts' misfortunes, the important thing is that Hibs keep winning. We couldn't have asked for a better draw so let's hope we can take advantage of it.

Hampden here we come.

Me too Billy. Great chance to get back to Hampden but only if we are totally switched in and up for it. Sure Jack will have us well prepared. Hopefully give us the platform and momentum to kick on in the league too.

Hopefully ICT playing last night will help us. Huge game for the club. Possibly St Mirren or Aberdeen in the semi then all of a sudden 90 mins away from winning the Scottish cup.

Went to their game last night at East End Park v Dunfermline which they won 2-1

Aaron Doran scored a peach of a free kick from about 22 yards in off the crossbar and their winning goal took a wicked deflection from a shot from the edge of the box, they also hit the post but apart from that didn't really trouble the Pars keeper. A draw would have been a fair result as Kevin Nisbet missed a free header from 7 yards out right in the middle of the goals and the Pars had plenty of pressure without creating too many clear cut chances especially in the 2nd half.

ICT played ok but looked quite slow and ponderous at the back especially on their right hand side with Shaun Rooney & Brad McKay looking particularly poor and they look to punt the ball up to Jordan White to hold it up and bring others into the game.

After us beating a much better Dundee Utd team in the 4th round - we should win by at least a couple of goals as long as we turn up and our attacking players are on form particularly I can see Boyle having a lot of success against them.

Missed sitter aside, how did Nisbet look? Still intrigued to see what happens with us and him in the summer.

I've seen ICT play recently. If we turn up we should have very little bother progressing. They aren't close to what Dundee Utd are, so similar attitude and we'll have the job done.

The missed header early on was his only clear cut chance in the game and it was a bad miss but he gave the ICT defence a hard time throughout - his hold up play was good, looked good in the air for someone that is only 6' 1" although he was up against Brad McKay, decent pace and movement off the ball, link up play was good and played his strike partner in with a couple of nice passes although he didn't make the most of them (not Nisbet's fault).

I can definitely see there is a good player in there - might be worth a punt in the summer but I can see other big clubs being interested in him.

Anyone know how many goals he’s scored since we failed to bring him in?

He may well be pretty unsettled because of it.

The thing is, if he goes off the boil a bit, I imagine people may be a bit put off bringing him in. But if he continues his form he will no doubt end up elsewhere!

Gutted I'm going to miss this one. I'm 60 on Friday and had organised a party for that night before it was announced the game would be on the 28th. For reasons I wont bore folk with I also missed the Ross County game, which means for the first time in over 30 years I'll be missing two home games in a season.

Unfortunately a good few folk at the party will also be Hibbies who would otherwise have been at the game .... At least its on the telly I suppose, which should make the party interesting as a third of the attendees ignore the disco to congregate round the telly ... my partner will be pleased ...... not :greengrin

Not sure about that they had a very close game with United last weekend which was only swung by a very good Shankland goal. They also beat Livingston in the last round so anyone IMO thinking this will be anything other than a very tight game might be in for a shock. I think we can create against their defence (McKay/McHattie etc) and not hugely convinced by their goalie. In saying all that it would be hugely disappointing to go out at this stage.

Agreed but we have some advantages beyond being in the top 6 of a higher league

+ Playing at home. Inverness might have been sticky.

+ ICT played away on Tuesday. That must give us better legs

+ Although they have some reasonable players, they also have some poor ones.

I think the Dundee United game gives us an indication of how it should go. Best we get the first goal this time :cb

I am actually pretty nervous about tomorrow.

We were so poor on Saturday, I suppose I should look to the fact we were poor and we never got beat, but still I fear it is a big banana skin waiting to be stepped on.

Hopefully Newell is back, we are a far better side with him in it. If he is I will feel a lot more confident.

Just seen JR’s interview. He has confirmed Newell is out. That is a worry. We missed his quality last week.

The players have to have the right mindset. I suspect they will.

I am not sure why I am so worried to be honest, but I am.

Probably because they have nothing to loose and at times will just go for it When Livi had the better possession and we were under pressure we resorted to defending deep and clearing g the ball straightvto one of thier players At times like that we always look like we could concede
We need to find the form we had v Ross County

They're a decent team and have coped better than I thought they might with having sold their two central defenders in January, but we're at home to the only non-premier team still in the cup, so we couldn't have got a better opportunity.
