Only five points off third and fourth with eleven games to play. Team playing well and producing results. Motherwell and Aberdeen are decent but no more than that.

Genuine potential for European qualification now and an exciting end to the season in prospect.

We’ve got six games before the split, with four of them at home.

The Aberdeen game at Pittodrie could be massive.

The fact that it's even slightly conceivable is testament to the complete turnaround we've seen since Hexit. All credit to Ross, Potter and the players for dragging us into contention for a top 4 finish. Whatever happens, they've really restored some pride and excitement to the season.

Shout out to Eddie May, Grant Murray and Steven Whittaker too. That win at St Johnstone and willingness to play 2 up top really helped kick start things.

Absolutely. We've got a great chance of getting 3rd/4th which says so much about how well the new management have done.

Even if we don't make it we're going to have an exciting end to the season with a potential semi final to look forward to as well.

The only excitement we'd have had under Hecky would have been a relegation battle along with our neighbours across the city.

We'll be in Europe anyway we're going to win the cup!!

Need to take 4 points from our two games again Aberdeen - minimum.

Also need to beat motherwell.

If we can do that and win our home games v livi and hearts, we'll be there or there abouts.

Luckily it doesn't matter as we'll be in Europe due to winning the Scottish Cup.

Can't see Aberdeen slipping up at home to Ross Co although Hamilton could do us a massive favour at home to Motherwell. But we have to do our bit and beat Livi for starters.

A battle for 3rd and a Scottish Cup semi, who'd have thought it back in October!

We could catch Motherwell or Aberdeen but it’s a big ask to catch both. Possible though if we stay clear of injuries to clear players,

Next two at home are must win.

If we don’t get six points, forget it. If we do, game on.

What are the dates for the preliminary and first round qualifying of the Europa League?

Given where we were, we’ve no right to be anywhere near a Euro place.

The preliminary round first leg is 25th June but we won't play in that round.

If we win the cup we'll start on 23rd July and if we finish 3rd or finish 4th and the cup winners come in the top 3 then we'll start on 9th July.

Thing is, I don’t even think Ross has put his stamp on things yet.

Generally applied a bit common sense and, most of the time, has done what we’ve all wanted. Showing it’s not rocket science.

To be honest I can't see it.

We've done really well to make it interesting though.

Plenty of games left to close the gap/overtake them, also enough left to fall miles behind..

Tightest league in a while where a good/bad run could have a massive impact in your position.

In the past 10 games (so almost the same number of games that we have left in the season) we've only made up 2 points on Aberdeen and 1 point on Motherwell.

We're probably going to need about 6 or 7 wins from our last 11 matches to get 3rd or 4th.

I think we will get 13 points out of the next available 18 which takes us to the split.
Draw v Aberdeen
Loss v lesser greens

To even think that we are in this position when you look back to where we were earlier in the season under Heckingbottom is truly remarkable.

A couple of weeks ago we were discussing on here where we thought Hibs might finish in league, and I felt both Aberdeen and Motherwell were probably too far out of range and 5th was best we could realistically hope for. Now it’s down to 5 points between Hibs and Motherwell/Aberdeen. it just goes to show how quickly things can turn around in this league.
