Newell was the guy that played the defensive mid role in the 1st half against St Mirren, sitting in front of the back 4, taking the ball from the defenders and keeper and linking the ball into the guys ahead of him. Could see him between the back 3 and the midfielders again tonight. Hanlon, Newell, Slivka and Docherty are all comfy on the ball so should complement each other.
My only concern is McGinn in the back 3, would have preferred the tackling and heading ability of Daz.
