Not sure the Rugby conditions were worse to be fair.

For the record, it’s the farcical game conditions I’m concerned about (not the fans comfort)
Although I’m not sue I’d subject my 13 year old son and 78 year old dad to these conditions !!

Did you happen to watch the game? Was one of the worst games of rugby I've seen. Every second statement out the commentators mouths were "mind it's windy!" As another has already said- farce.

Is there an issue with liability should someone get hurt by something like a blown down bit of roof tile at the game?
I have a few friends who are running a trail race today. The organisers sent an email last night saying the race will go ahead but they will accept no responsibility for anyone getting hurt because of the conditions. That seems a total cop out to me; it's basically saying we know it isn't really safe but we'll lose money if we have to reschedule so we'll run in unsafe conditions and simply pass on our duty of care.
I'm not sure about elsewhere but I'm in EH15 and the road is strewn with wheelie bins and a couple of trees are down. It was calm earlier but picking up again, if it's anything like this in Alloa I'd be prepared for a bit of a farce.
I doubt that email would mean anything in the event of someone being hurt in an event they have organised and have liability over.

Don't need one.
I've got so much manly body hair I just wear a normal shirt, 3 sizes too small.
Same effect, no dry-cleaning bill.
Win - win, as they say.
That's great use of natural resources. Well done.

Currently just collected breakfast in mcds about 20 secs away from the stadium and again I'd be amazed if it's called off
What rugby?
Today's @Coral #ChallengeCup tie against @ThunderRugby has been postponed.
The tie is expected to be played next weekend, meaning our Betfred League One opener against @HunsletRLFC will have to be rearranged for a later date.

Righto, I'd this game is on it is a farce. Blowing a gale and absolutely horsing it down with rain. Travel is likely to be dodgy with high winds and toads flooded. I'm about to take the dog out and will report back if I make it!!
In all seriousness though they need to take in to account that there will be fans there with no cover from the elements.
Yep ...starting to gust pretty strongly in ppans...mind you, coyld have been last nights curry 🤪

How does asking if a football match might be in doubt make someone a snowflake? How does subsequently commenting on the impact the weather had on other events such as rugby, racing and indeed another football match make someone a snowflake? Are Mancunians and Londoners bigger snowflakes than us Hardy Scots? Are Irish racing fans all snowflakes?

Players having to hold the ball for set pieces and the wind making better tackles than some of the players just showed how bad it was out there. Glad it wasn't postponed and it's now out the way. Hopefully slightly better on Wednesday!

I was driving back over the Clackmannanshire Bridge after the game and looked back over Alloa and up the Forth towards Stirling. It looked like the end of days was closing in. I reckon we dodged one basically the whole game. I honestly think our 90 mins coincided with the eye of the storm.

Yes, we were very fortunate. It was pretty bleak crossing the bridge but the rain started tipping down pretty much when most were back in their buses and cars.
Think we’re still getting some payback for Cowdenbeath ‘14.
