Delighted for Reid, although for obvious reasons I wish he'd won the SuperBowl fifteen years earlier.
A lot of big men running into each other and occasionally someone throws the ball forward, backwards, sideways etc. Dressed like storm troopers they seem to like bumping their helmets together in some sort ritual greeting, strange game. 🤔

Brilliant game and far better to watch than the English premier league (no contest since the introduction of VAR ;))
In my opinion of course.

Disagree mate. I only got into it when I moved here but it definitely grows on you and quickly. I imagine that if I had grown up here I would not give a passing glance to soccer/football.....

Lots of men running about a park kicking a ball back and forth trying to get it into a net. Sometimes they pretend they've been tripped up. Thousands watch on shouting abuse at the men if they don't kick it in the right direction, strange game.
All sports are strange games.

I remember years ago big hype re NFL people staying up to watch on TV etc & when I asked them about rules, plays they didn't have clue, but it was cool to admire it. Strange thing is guys that tell me how great it is, quite often talk about rugby ,egg chasers, as if it's a stupid game. But everyone to their own.

There's a reason football is the most played game in the world and why basically nobody outside America plays American Football. One of them is generally fascinating to watch and the other is ***** .
People buy into into it because it's American and it has all the glitz and branding power to make people want to watch it. Absolutely guaranteed if it was a game played predominantly in Russia , but to the exact same standard as it is in America ,nobody would bother their arse to watch it.

I just don’t get American football. I’ve tried to like it but I just don’t, tbh I struggle a bit with most American sports.
Rugby is growing in me on a big way. I’ve heard too many daft things said about football from “rugby people” over the years (acknowledging what is said too often the other way) but I’m starting to get quite into it.
My problem with rugby is that the club game is a bit uninspiring, lacking history, big crowds and atmosphere.
Internationals, even ones when I have no great interest in the teams involved, are often brilliant.

There's an NFL thread on here with over 11k posts on it. Game is growing in popularity all the time and only a matter of time before the UK gets it's own NFL team (although I'm not a fan of the idea).

American sports in general have always seemed a bit dull, baseballs probably the worst, don't mind a bit of basketball here and there but it's too end-to-end for me.
Tried watching American football a couple times but the ball was hardly ever in play, thought it was really boring tbh but each to their own.
I worked in a bookies for a bit and always had this one customer who would come in and burn my lugs off about the NFL and use names of players and teams I'd never heard of, reckon that also put me off it a bit.
Also find it funny there's a guy employed only to take kicks, his training must get tedious.
Big, big fan of Shakira and J-Lo however, could watch them all day
