Is there a chance this might be permanent and not a loan deal?

A grip of what? It was clearly a joke.

You seem angry.

Relax. This isn’t happening. Hibs have knocked it back.

Rangers are desperate for a striker because they now have none which means zero chance of winning the league.

The hibs board are smart enough to know the repercussions (business + fan wise ) if they enabled this to happen.

Care to comment??

"I am very excited. Ever since I came to Scotland it has been a dream for me to move to Rangers and it has happened today, so I am a very, very happy man."

Thankfully Kamberi will never play for us again.

Lennon knew the score re this charlatan.

Good riddance. He's been a petulant spoiled brat the majority of his time at Hibs. Good luck to the lad if he's happy being a bit part at the Orcs.

Great player on his day alas 1 in 5 good games isn't enough

I hope he does well and we scoop up our £2m release clause at the end of the season. He's gone. I'd happily settle for a straight permanent swap with Docherty on a 3 year deal. Docherty is a far better SPFL midfielder than Flo is a striker anywhere he plays.

Lennons probably laughing his head off, he'll be delighted. It's a weak signing when you compare to Celtics strikers.

Kamberi has been nothing but trouble since coming here I hope he's nowhere near ER again!

:agree:

Genuinely not sour grapes saying this, but Lennon and Celtic will be thrilled by this news. He's MILES off the standard required for a push for major honours and has been since he came back here permanently.

He was getting to the point where he was almost starting to look like he wasn't good enough for us. If Morelos gets injured any time soon then the league challenge Rangers have put together will start to unravel quickly.

It's actually a fantastic deal for us - we've gotten rid of a player who found himself as third choice striker behind Doidge and Boyle, who isn't popular in the dressing room and got in someone else to reinforce our midfield. McNulty in to strengthen us up front, Gullan to replace Shaw as a young prospect and even if we don't get Nisbet in we'll still be stronger.

We've let him sign for them to help develop him, so we can sell him in the summer for millions. :greengrin

Show pony who's not really that good at anything, first touch poor, cant head ball or lead the line well at all.

And scores nowhere near enough times for the game time he's had.

We are much better off with what we've done today that we were yesterday.:top marks

Of course the difference now will be that where he was getting next to nothing from refs while regularly throwing himself to the ground for us he's going to get everything going while doing exactly the same wearing a Rangers shirt.

Where’s the evidence that he’ll go for millions in the summer? There was hardly a queue for him now.

If anything, it weakens our position, surely? Off he’s went to Ibrox, gushing about it being his dream, so coming back here is going to be a pretty untenable proposition, either with the squad or the fans, even Ross has commented on his daft statement, so it’s more a case of cutting our loses, than looking forward to a bidding war.

What an utterly disrespectful and rather idiotic way to conduct yourself after joining a new club on loan.

He won't be so proud of himself when Rangers don't want to touch him in the summer and he's back with us, training on his own until some random European team pays for him and he ends up playing in front of crowds of 10k.

Or something like that. Classless.

I am relaxed about it now. If he does well his price goes up to the buy out amount. That will find McNulty and Nisbet perm or equivalent and we will be better off.

If he doesn’t do well - he comes back and looks like the prick he really is. Its telling Lennon targeted him as the problem before he left. No smoke and all that.

He is finished at Hibs. Hardly giving it a second thought. I am willing to bet we won’t miss him and neither with JR who is trying to build a team not individuals.

After today's display I'm confident we've got the better deal. Kamberi will be lucky to score more than a couple of goals for them this season, once Defoe is back his arse will be getting splinters from sitting on the bench. Docherty will be a big player for Hibs between now and the end of the season.

Kamberi will return in the summer and will be punted to that Polish side, just after big Daz knocks him out with a right hook. 👍

It looks like we have got a very good deal with Rangers with the loan swap. Kamberi’s burnt his bridges with his comments but I won’t lose too much sleep over them as he was always a hard one to really take to. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of Docherty, and consistent performances like that this afternoon will make this a very good bit of business. There will be a natural interest in the next few weeks to see how Kamberi does at Rangers, but he’ll soon pale into insignificance.

Sorry Jim but I think you are miles wide of the mark. Give one example where Rangers will get him ‘for a song’. On second thoughts, forget that because there is no example. Either he does well and we get a good deal from Rangers or he ‘sucks’ there, comes back to us for a few minutes, and is sold on to an unsuspecting outfit who are willing to take a chance on an arrogant tosser with good experience. Worst scenario, we lose out on a few quid short of the £150k we wasted on him. Rangers have no chance of getting him on the cheap. To quote Michael Stewart, the guy is stupid..

Putting aside the anger and disgust at this juvenile’s remarks, I am astonished that a professional footballer can attack his parent club in such a blatant manner. It is bordering on taking the game into disrepute. He is obviously but stupidly, taking the opportunity to attack his parent club and team-mates in revenge for the contempt they have for him. It’s quite sad to see a talented footballer talking his way into possible unemployment.

It’s a set up from start to finish. Has his agent and the Huns written all over it. The Huns will want him for pennies, figure he’ll talk himself out of not being able to come back and force our hand to sell him for a few hundred grand. What Hibs need to do, is force the Huns to pay up the rest of Dohertys wages and do the deal that way. Nae chance we’ll get him and afford his wages in the summer. All games.
