When was the last time a Hibs player managed that, and when was the last time all three assists were for the same scorer?I'm sure he also played the through ball to Boyle to run onto which got us the pen as well, thought he was quietly impressive last night and always wanting the ball, dare I say it it was a very mcgeouch type performance

One of the old boys next to me in the FFL was saying at full time how it was just a lucky night for Newall, referencing how he was "shi*e at the start of the season".

I think some Hibs fans are just going to have to forgive and forget, you simply can't ignore good play and a good player just because he was pish playing out of position 4 months ago.

Heard from a United fan of how impressed he was with Newell.
Newell seems hard working, skilful, intelligent with a good attitude. I think he could be a key player for us.

Memory starting to get a bit foggy now but one for all the old codgers but pretty sure Alex Mickey Edwards would have provided what the modern parlance call “assists” and contributed to many a hatrick as well with his precision pin point passing

Glad to see Joe Newall playing well enjoying his time in Edinburgh at long last and playing with a smile on his face

Was the third technically an assist given Flo mi**** his volley. Joe has been brilliant recently well done to him.
