Thankfully mate I don’t think they’ve anything to trouble us down the left. It’s a very weak line up though. It’s got mugged off then written all over it. Look at our line ups for the two replays against Hearts and look at that. We’ve went backwards big time. It looks like Ross has done a Neilson. We should never be one up top unless we plan on playing Whittaker right wing with squirrel through the middle?

It's a 451.

A good few different people playing to who toiled badly playing it against Hamilton but it is just not a formation that I've ever seen Hibs look good at whilst trying to attack teams we would be expected to beat.

Maybe it will be better with Boyle and Horgan on the wings, maybe we'll get a better balance in the middle with Whittaker sitting and both Allan and Newell creating.

Doubt it though. I don't mind this type of approach against Rangers, Celtic or any other strongish team away who will come onto us.

When we play this way at home it always just seems to leave us short of options for the man on the ball, open at the back, unable to get up in support of Doidge and generally just crap.

We'll see, I've been very wrong before.

So nothing positive in the Jack Ross appointment? The Morton and Stirling games were with Hecky in charge and were glorified pre season games. We recently beat Motherwell 3-1, Aberdeen 3-0 but you see no positives. Not sure how old you are but for **** sake in my time watching Hibs this is nowhere near as bad as it could get. We are on the up, slowly but surely. Would you prefer the Jambo way if squandering millions of pounds, of other people's money to be sitting rock bottom of the league? No issues with Whittikar in there, done well last time out imo.

Interesting Slivka is nowhere to be seen and Hallberg remains dropped.

Not feeling good about this game if I’m honest, think Reynolds will make a difference for them at the back.

The boy Appiere is going to skin James rotten imo.

We have plenty on paper to win it if we play as good as we know we can! Hopefully Newell keeps his form up, Boyle and Horgan rip the wingbacks apart and Doidge grabs a goal.

I'm happy with most of the issues being raised in isolation but clumping them all together could spell disaster.

If they have anyone who can run with the ball, our midfield and right side of defence are there for the taking. It'll be interesting to see if we can get anyone close to Doidge.

Will we have the character to come back if we lose the first goal?

Do we have anything to come off the bench and change a game?

Going to be very hard this evening but very winnable game.

Need a performance from Scotty tonight. He’s been a bit off form of late.

Boyles pace with Allan’s guile... 2-1 Hibs.

No where near as bad a line up as the usual drama queens are making out. Boyle, doidge and horgan will give them a lot of problems if they play how they can. Whittaker was also no where near as bad as he was made out last game and can let allan and newell go forward

I agree. They aren't used to that in the Championship and looked at sixes and sevens at times last time at their place

No issues with the line up but our Board should be ashamed looking at that ...it just shows how poor our recruitment has been these last 2 seasons...total joke at a time of record crowds and ST Holders.

Let's hope we get the job done 2nite and at least 3 quality additions before Fri coz its badly needed

Mon the Hibees

Was it the board that identified these players? They seemed to back the manager and recruitment team with funds so I’m not sure they hold all of the can for where we are.

I'm afraid somethings never change with Hibs, I should know supported them since 1971 & it's been a roller-coaster, I understand your frustration really I do but Jack Ross is not going to right all PH wrongs in a few months.
