I notice that, at the moment, there are over 7,000 non members viewing this forum. I never pay too much attention to this statistic, but it is rarely as high as this. Is there something in the air that we should know about? :hyper

There's been a problem for a few days now

"There are currently 6199 users online (https://www.hibs.net/online.php). 763 members and 5436 guestsMost users ever online was 45,594, 14-01-2020 at 08:59 AM."

I was thinking maybe a ddos attack of some sort... or maybe just a malfunctioning server. :dunno:

Maybe it's like when Hibs record season ticket holders as part of the attendance at a match when their not there!

Correct. We've added some additional automated protection but impossible to catch them all

I do not think the number is accurate.

My good friend was shown as being on the list viewing when he was actually with me not viewing!

As I said, its based on a time period. Its not instant - that would rely on people logging out.
Its all subjective - how long does inactivity count before a user is no longer browsing the forum? 30 seconds? 5 minutes? 30 minutes?
Users have been known to be playing the arcade for significantly longer :greengrin
