Good luck to the lad. I really thought he would break through this year but it wasn’t to be. Good chance we make some more money on him in the future.

A real tinge of sadness for me - great potential, really good head on his shoulders and in the 'one to watch' bracket from now on. All the best Oli :aok: you'll go far in the game :agree:

Would we get £75-£100k for him?

I’ll predict a tiny fee (£30-40k) with a big 40-50% sign-on clause.

No one will every know for sure.

Ross County's record transfer fee is only 100k. They aren't known for splashing the cash. As others have said probably a lower fee with a decent sell on clause.

Iv no doubt that given a decent run in a side he will score goals. Over a season with county I think he’d easily hit double figures if playing week in week out.

All the best Oli, unfortunately in never quite worked out for you here.

It also shows that sometimes getting into the first team early can hinder you a bit as he’s not developed as much. Compared to Gullan who played every week against men and is now coming back to be in the squad.

Best of luck to him.

Players leaving Hibs only help us if we're able to reinvest saved wages in better players. Expect some exciting moves within the next few days.

Our manager said he would only move on if we had a replacement so hopefully he meant that.

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross is not surprised to lose Oli Shaw this month, but sounds a little surprised by the move.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, he said: "I always expected to lose Oli [Shaw] this month but I thought it would be on loan. I think he is at a stage in his career that he has to play regularly. I still felt like he could eventually do that here, which was why I was planning to lose him on loan, however the two clubs obviously came to an agreement in terms of an permanent transfer for him and I think Oli showed an appetite for that.

Jack Ross quoted as not expecting to lose Shaw on a permanent transfer, only on loan. Strange.

I rate Oli and really thought he'd become a regular starter at Easter Road, but his career has stalled this past year, for whatever reason.
He goes with a hearty good luck and thank you from this hibby.

Either we have been forced to sell to get a decent striker in (who knows it could happen) or their chairman has lost the plot and made an offer we couldn't refuse.

Manager not being kept in the loop?

Bloody great.

I think he has absolutely agreed to let Shaw go, there’s no chance that Mathie etc would make that decision without him being given final say surely. I’m taking from it that JR would’ve preferred a loan but we were offered a good deal and Shaw was keen to take it.

Think it's a crazy decision personally. Would have liked the 6 montn loan and if he tears it up we have a player on our hands. At least we would know.

He has undoubted potential

Best of luck for the future Oli
