Going by.the pre match interview with Jack Ross sounds like he wanted him to go on loan and was surprised the move is permanent. That's a slight concern.

Ron's skint.

I got the impression that it was Shaw who preferred the permanent move.

Same here. He expected a loan but the clubs agreed a fee and Shaw wanted to go.
The club wouldn’t sell a player if the manager didn’t agree to it IMO.

Ross's comments:
He said: “I always felt Oli would move this month but I thought it would be on loan, then the dynamics moved quickly.
“That’s changed things a little bit but I’ve always wanted another striker in the building and we’ll try to do that before the end of January.
“I wanted Oli to play games in the second half of the season but I wasn’t necessarily wanting him to leave.
“Sometimes players have to take their destiny in their own hands. Oli burst onto the scene and has a lot of good characteristics but he has to be playing regularly. He had limited opportunities with me.”

If the six figure sum that was quoted earlier is correct (which I doubt), it would be a no brainer for Hibs to sell him. That plus the quoted sell on clause (which I do believe) would be a great bit of business for Hibs.
Good luck to Oli and hope Hibs use the money wisely and get another goal scoring striker in place.

Another one who’ll no doubt come good and probably come back to haunt us.
Surely we must be on the verge of bringing a replacement in you’d have thought ?
Another one, like who else has in recent years?
So the laddie leaves Hibs to go to Ross Co for more game time and sits on the bench the whole game today, don't see the point in a move like that.

I'd imagine they went with one up front at Celtic Park

Thought he'd get at least 20 mins or so, just seems daft going there to sit on the bench.

Ross Country largest fee to date is £250k for Jackson Irvine. So if even a 30% add on its £75k if their largest ever fee is matched.

Kind of get that
County got a huge week with tough games. Celtic away today, Rangers away in Wednesday, and Killie away on Saturday
I’m sure he’ll get some more game time later this week

Wiki has Ross Draper as their record transfer for 100k. Their previous was 65k The only info. I can find on Jackson Irvine is that they paid a development fee to Celtic for him. I can't believe they've ever paid 250k.

I wonder if Oli Shaw has any regrets leaving now Flo has gone.

Instead of warming a Hibs bench, he's now warming the Ross Co. one, Sparky is Flo's replacement and Gullan has taken Oli's place on the bench. He should've went on loan but he obviously thought he had more chance of game time there, looking very much like he isn't going by recent games.
