I’d play Whittaker at RB. With a game every 3/4 days for the next few weeks, Gray is going to need rotated. I’d keep him for Motherwell and play Whittaker tomorrow.

Hamilton won’t be easy but Well have strong wide men and IMO we’ll need Grays aggression and fight against them. Whittaker or James would be a concern in that game

Pretty big game this. Win and we open up a healthy gap to the playoff position. A loss drags us right back into it.

Only question I think there is from Sunday is whether Whittaker will have it in him to play again in midfield. I’d start Omeonga then replace him if he tires.

That does for me. If Slivka happens to be involved from the start (with Omeonga coming on) I'd also take that.

For me we shouldn't have an eye on Motherwell team selection till after this game, win it and we're ticking along nicely in top 6 with chance to build on that, can't afford to lose and the lack of confidence that will bring with it.
Need Omeonga up to speed asap so I would give him as long as he is able in this game and sub him off, that way he gets as much of a workout as he is needing/capable of and his fitness should return quicker, we know his quality this time so no need to test him with 15 mins here and there.
Wouldn't surprise me that Whittaker and MacGregor share some time as CB replacement for Porto, SDG at fullback could be the critical position but I wouldn't be saving him for Motherwell unless we can put the game out of sight as early as possible, not something I think we'll do tbh.
A game where the midfield need to match the Hamilton runners and CBs keep a well organised line I think

I was thinking about Boyle at RWB too. He has a great engine and has been successful in that position in the past. Might put Jackson in instead of Whitts in defense as he may still have Sunday's game in his legs

In fairness, since he switched from the wing I don’t think he’s been much, much better. Was really only out of the team because he got injured.
