Suggestion for a moderate/long dog walk

I've been roped in to walking a friends two dogs whilst he's away over this weekend. They're two ridgebacks and enjoy a decent walk, one will run off the leash all the way (if appropriate) but the other has anxiety issues with other big dogs so he stays on the leash unless I'm absolutely sure there's nothing else about.
Usually, I take them somewhere local to the west of Edinburgh, so Corstorphine hill, Crammond, Almondell/Bangour but I'm looking to take them further afield, preferably a circular walk 10+ miles with a plenty tracks off-road. I've had them up at Tentsmuir & Loch Ard but wondering if the .netters had any other suggestions, anywhere within 90 (or so) minutes of the City?

Either the Water of Leith from Balerno to the visitor centre at Slateford and back or from Slateford to Leith and back.

Inveresk church then down to the River Esk, follow the Esk down to the mouth then make your way east along the coast to the lagoons. You can follow the coastline further down towards Prestonpans. When you reach the Royal Musselburgh Golf Course then turn right (south) and follow the west boundary wall of the course until you reach the B1361 and walk back towards Wallyford. In Wallyford follow the path along the railway that will eventually lead you under the railway to the back of Pinkie Farm, from there go through Lewisvale Park to Musselburgh Grammar School and turn left back up the hill to where you started. I used to do different variations of this walk as a boy with a family dog.

Cramond to South Queensferry and back is circa 8/9/10 miles. Follow the shoreline or via the woodland path through Dalmeny estate. Access the route via road to the west side of Cramond Brig (Miller & Carter).

Gullane Bents along the coast East / South to Yellowcraigs. It's about 7 miles, including the inland walk from Yellowcraigs to Dirleton. Bus back from Dirleton to pick up car from Gullane. or turn back before you reach Yellowcraigs for a longer walk and avoiding the bus trip. Watch for tide times, as it's a nicer walk when the tide is out. Also nicer when it's not raining! Look out for a crazy Border Collie wandering around seemingly on his own.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far peeps, we done PB's suggestion of Loch Leven yesterday, was a lovely day for it, cool but clear.
Today, because of the weather forecast for winds and rain, we stuck to Hibrandenburgs route around Musselburgh.
That's me knackered but at least the doggos enjoyed their walks!
