His coat will be on a shoogly peg after that one, we're always hearing how well run Mrs doctor Budge has made them.

Not professional and not big? Deary me the natives won't put up with that, you'd think he was trying to get out.

All the playing to the gallery blown out the water by failing to pretend he is at a BIG club.

1 point from your first 5 games? Not a problem. Pumped by Hibs at home? Not an issue. Draw with Aberdeen? The man's a hero. Say Hearts aren't a big club? Get this ****ing imposter out of our club.

No mention of the article over the road, but there's a really cringe thread because he did an instagram post wishing them a happy new year. Quote from OP "I think we may have a cult hero in the making here"

He managed a draw... at home... his 1st point in 5 games... and he's on his way to being a cult hero?

DAN BLAST Daniel Stendel blasts Craig Levein and says Hearts aren’t professional enough to be big club

Robert Martin

31 Dec 2019, 22:28

DANIEL STENDEL has slammed predecessor Craig Levein’s work at Hearts — claiming the Jambos aren’t professional enough to be a big club.
As both director of football and manager, Levein had total control of the football side at Tynecastle.
https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2019/12/NINTCHDBPICT000550530413.jpg?w=620 (https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5121521/daniel-stendel-craig-levein-blast-hearts-professional/#)2

Stendel has blasted Hearts' professionalism under LeveinCredit: Andy Barr - The Sun GlasgowBut his chaotic reign ended in October when he was sacked by owner Ann Budge.
Hearts (https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/team/14918/hearts/) are five points adrift at the bottom of the league and new boss Stendel said: “We have to try to bring more professionalism to the club on the sports side. We need to improve things now. For me, that is everything on the pitch, on the training pitch and here at the training complex.
“When I talk with Ann Budge and other people on the administration side of the club, you can see how they work in the boardroom, it’s so professional.
“Now we need to work hard to bring the sports side of the club up to that same level of professionalism.

https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2019/12/NINTCHDBPICT000535768932.jpg?w=620 (https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5121521/daniel-stendel-craig-levein-blast-hearts-professional/#)2

Levein was axed in OctoberCredit: Getty Images - Getty“Then we won’t just be a good club, but a big club.”
Stendel, who has been left to pick up the pieces after Levein was axed, admits everything has to change to get the Jambos back on track.
The ex-Hannover and Barnsley boss confirmed he has been impressed with Budge’s work in the Gorgie boardroom.
However it’s a different story at the Riccarton training complex, where he has inherited a shambolic situation.

And it has not taken Stendel long to decide that what he has seen so far is nowhere near good enough.
Levein and his former No 2 Austin MacPhee remain on the payroll, despite their removal from first team-duties, and they are helping Budge in advisory roles.
Coaches Jon Daly and Liam Fox are also still at Tynecastle, despite being snubbed by Stendel, who has instead chosen to work with Andy Kirk.
The German remains hopeful of bringing in at least one of his former Barnsley assistants during this month’s winter shutdown.

He is also desperate to lure new players, although he admits that might be a tough task with Hearts marooned at the bottom of the table.

He added: “A lot of things have changed at Hearts, especially on the sports side. It’s not only the manager, but a lot of things around the team.
“When we achieve the same level across this side of things, we will have a really good club and a really good team.
“I’m focused on the games first and then we look for solutions to the other problems.”

Where's the surprise ? The height of Hearts ambitions is to beat Hibs. It is the definition of "wee" and Levein was a wee as they come. Stendal - for all his faults - probably won't understand the Obsession with Hibs and will be asking some uncomfortable questions of the Board and the fans, like...

What cups do you want to win ? Can we make Europe ? And, can we compete with Celtic and Rangers in one of games ?

All of that will be alien to the Obsessed, wondering WTF is this guy talking about ?

Well after the first couple of slugs the froth started to get right up ma nose, then the sair head started, only managed to get through half the can and woke up in a **** of a mood this morning, feeling right bitter I was before I came too and realised that all was O.K. I remember that I was a Hibs supporter and my mood took on an instant “Sunshine on Leith” moment, full of smiles and so pleased to support the original greens.

Happy 2020 to Hibees everywhere.

Not even getting the basic rules for a Limerick right. Lines 1,2 & 5, and lines 3 & 4, have to rhyme.

So for example if you started off with the line "We have a new manager named Danny" then the next line would have to end in something which rhymed with Danny. And so on.

It's like they make up silly songs about draws and Stendel to try and escape from reality. If they got relegated via the playoffs they'd sing about "the bravest relegation in history" and how it was all part of the rebuilding process. Can't win. Complete denial.

I can only assume a lot of the posters on there are in the pay of Hearts because much of the guff posted surely cannot square with the views of most 'normal' Hearts fans (assuming there are such people). Either that or there's a high proportion of their fan base who aren't the full shilling.

Five points adrift at the foot of the table. Worst points tally (by a distance) of any top flight team in 2019, a new manager who has taken one point from his first five games and who disappeared home for Christmas before a Boxing Day derby gubbing yet they're singing his praises?!

Were Hibs in a similar situation can you honestly see any of our fans reacting like this?

Zico Cochrane? He is better than McGinn, as the song says. Some of his sporadic sub appearances for Dunfermline Athletic are the stuff of legend. He did a 720 degree rabona followed by a semi reverse pike with tuck in the alloa derby last week.incredible.
And that will be the derby that the mighty Wasps part time players pumped them rotten!!! Hairy Cockring will end up somewhere like Dundee or Falkirk. If the Tarts are relying on him to keep them up they are in a worse state than we think. Beautiful!!

It was the Celtic game that highlighted that for me.

I had an argument with a Jambo that night as he genuinely felt hearts played well, they were dreadful. The fact a few of their midfielders ran around like headless chickens was enough for them apparently.

It defies logic, to be honest.

The thinking that the Aberdeen performance was thanks to Stendel working his magic.

Now..Hearts were gash against us, marginally better in the second half than they were in the first, but gash nevertheless.

That was on Thursday. The Aberdeen game was on Sunday - how much of an impact does anyone think Stendel could realistically have over the Friday and Saturday before the game?

Would it be significant enough to completely change how the team perform and to give them a total understanding of the tactics etc?

Or is it more likely that the players, having been roundly jeered off the park (or told "don't dare look up" :greengrin ) have had a reaction and raised their game against a team who even Levein managed a draw with?

Can't get much more blatant a red card, typical of those dirty cheatin' bassas. Potentially could've seriously injured McGinn and was so late he obviously wasn't going for the ball.

Will be interesting to see if Stendel has them continuing with the dirty style or if he has them trying to play football. Don't remember them being too dirty on Boxing Day so maybe it will be the latter.

It’s desperation. They’ve become so used to watching dross that any chink of light is being seen as a sign they’ve turned the corner.

To be honest I think they are at the desperation stage and have turned Stendel into some kind of Messiah. They will literally let him away with anything.
