Hardly think it needs to be explained. Very strange you have such a strong reaction to something very innocuous. Sometimes it's funny to look back on times where everything wasn't quite so rosy and frame it in a humorous way.

Aye, there have been some shockers over the decade for sure. Came up with a few names that I haven't thought of since they last played but I bet there's dozens I've completely forgotten.

This is probably as close as it gets, apart from Handling. Plenty worse than him, played well in many games in Stubbs first season.

McLean only played 2 games so dunno about him, he certainly wasn't bad in either of them. Big Dave didn't even get a start so dunno about him either

Mcgivern was good until he joined permanently. He really struggled under Butcher.

Always thought that Tom Soares was decent and that Danny Handling was unlucky with injuries

The fact that no one nominated them in the worst player category must let them off the hook

One went to Bury and look what happened to them and the other is ripping it up at Edinburgh City

I agree. Get Nelson in for McGivern, Kuqi in for Handling. Soares wasn't that bad so go 5 at the back and stick Boateng in and you've got your worst XI.

Need another drink after that.

Mullen got subbed on at home to malmo during the first half and we moved stevenson to right back because he was that poor. Think mcpake.went off injured

The same matt doherty that had his pants pulled down by a washed up andy driver in the cup final and laughed about it afterwards?

Good player for wolves, but in terms of performances in a hibs shirt you’re miles off it here mate.

Yes, I didn't mention his Hibs performances (he was actually pretty good for us other than that day). He in an excellent player now and he played for Hibs this decade. That means, he is an excellet player who PLAYED for Hibs. I didn't say he was an excellent player FOR Hibs.

O'Connor laughed about it as well and was far more to blame than some laddie on loan from Wolves. Always wondered why he never got stick.

There was nothing wrong with Soares.

Scored a couple of cracking goals, a good assist in the cup at ER. Only played about 10 games and helped improve our position.

These sort of teams should be reserved for players who have proven to be dire over a decent period.

Okay but if he was gash (or in your opinion mediocre) for us then how does he make OUR team of the decade?

Gonna have to call bull**** on that O’Connor comment as well. I suggest you watch his interview with si ferry on open goal and see if he thought it was funny. He mentions that some of the on loan boys were laughing after the game (obviously talking about doherty) and said him and griffiths nearly lost the plot at them. The guy was so disgusted with himself he threw his runners up medal away, I’m not seeing a guy who doesn’t care there?

I didn't say that either so dunno where you got that?

If O'Connor cared he would've been in shape all season. At no point was he in shape that season. He was seen laughing and farting about behind the interviews and was out on the town that night. He could well just be making that up to make himself feel better. His actions speak louder than a daft interview years later. Guy was everything wrong with Hibs at the time.

Okay if you want to be pedantic, you said he had been one of the best players to play for us this decade along with mcginn. You’re basing that on performances since he left hibs and not those in a hibs shirt. You could say similar for james collins, matt done and eoin doyle who have also gone on to have decent careers in england, but were at best underwhelming, and at worst shambolic in a hibs jersey.

Please find me evidence of o’connor laughing after the 5-1. It’s a figment of your imagination. While he was out of shape, there’s no denying that, don’t try and tell me he showed anywhere the level of disdain that day as matt doherty, that’s an absolute insult to the man.

Yes, I did say that because it is true. He is a brilliant player.

I couldn't care less if it's insultng to O'Connor. His behaviour was insulting to me. Guys a bellend. He was laughing in the background of the Matt Doherty interview video. He was a senior player at the club. He behaved far worse than MD. He was a daft young lad on loan who really owed us nothing other than effort which he gave.

You only really have to look at their respective careers. O'Connor was an unprofessional fanny and Doherty is now a top player in a very good side. Tragic to blame him or hold a grudge. It's the senior players who let us down.

This is close to my personal nightmare.

We’ve had many poor keepers but Simon Brown didn’t appear to even try.

Hart and Nelson - woefully limited but I worry we’ve had worse.

McGivern did at least have a decent loan spell with us... I’d substitute Sean O’Hanlon who was just awful.

All the others were simply terrible in a Hibs shirt.
